Well, after my ranting I've turned it around. I beat the first and second place teams the last two weeks (even after I stupidly thought playing Nate Burleson (0 points) over Eric Decker (43 points) was a good idea - thank you Josh Gordon). Then this week I was playing 4th place team. Win and I'm in the playoffs. Lose and I'm out. Got stuck with Reggie Bush in the lineup when I couldn't switch in time to put in Ryan Matthews and thought I was screwed.

Opposite situation for me this week. I'm playing the #3 seed that lead the league in points. I'm the #2 and finished about 5th in points, IIRC. I beat him twice this year, though he outscored me by 300 over the course of the season.

 

So far, looking pretty good. He had Decker, Moreno, and Julius Thomas last night. I had Gates and SD's Kicker. I'm only down 28-17.

[expletive] Cowboys! I was down about 24 with about 3 minutes or so left in the Cowboys/Packers game. I have Romo, Murray, Dallas D (pickings really slim in our league and their special teams has been good). And I was playing against Eddie Lacy.

 

Cowboys have the lead, should be running the clock out. 1 more 1st down and game over. But no, Romo audibles on 2nd and [expletive] 6, throws a pass that gets intercepted (-2) for me. GB gives the ball to Lacy who runs for about 20 yards, catches a pass, and scores the game-winning TD (11 points for him, and -3 for the Cowboys D for me). From down 24 to down 42.

 

I had Le'Veon Bell last night, and Torrey Smith tonight, but I still need 19 from Torrey, instead of a very [expletive] manageable 3.

50+ is worth 10 pts, 40-49 is worth 5 pts, 39 or less is 3. I personally hate it and think it should be like 7 or so for a 50+. Bailey had 2 from 50, 2 from 40, 1 from 30 and 3 PATs.

 

It's generally a pretty high scoring league. I put up 154 yesterday and it was only the 4th highest on the day. I averaged right around 122 a week for the season.

Wow, those are some crazy numbers for kickers.

 

Our commish went with 4 for 50+, 3 for 40-49, 2 for 39 or less, and 1 for XP. Can't say I disagree with deflation, kickers are pretty much a crapshoot and shouldn't have a huge impact on fantasy matchups, IMO.

Join my league, where 50+ yd FGs are worth more than passing, rushing and receiving TDs.

I have a 1.96-point buffer with Matt Stafford going for me and Dennis Pitta going for the other guy. Watch Pitta not get any catches but Stafford gets injured on a sack-fumble on the first play of the game and I lose by 0.04.

 

In my other league I'm good as long as Justin Tucker scores 63 points.
