I hate running backs.

My 10-years and running keeper league went to 1 RB, 2 WRs and a FLEX this year, because of this fact.

My 12 team league actually starts 3 RBs and 4 WRs and I don't mind it too much. It's very rare for any team to have 3 quality RBs starting (obviously) so it kind of evens out, but if you do have 3 quality RBs you have a major competitive edge. Right now I'm starting Foster, Branden Oliver and McFadden and its been working out ok.

The worst thing about my league is we also start 2 QBs. Do the math...12 teams, 2 starters, 1 bench guy for injuries/bye weeks thats 36 QBs. Obviously only 32 start in the NFL so there are always teams in my league that literally are forced to start a backup hoping that the starter gets injured or replaced during the game or starting someone like Michael Vick and hoping they bring him in to run the wildcat or something. When your opponent has 2 QBs each putting up 20+ points and you start a guy who doesn't play, its almost always a guaranteed loss.

Pretty much made all the wrong moves in a league I really needed a win in this week (will fall to 2-5). Started Fred Jackson over Ahmad Bradshaw and Andre Holmes over Watkins and Hopkins also Hoyer over Ryan. Lost by 8 points. I make 1 of those moves and I win.

League sounds like a mess. In a 2-QB league, I'd draft a QB first round every time, especially top 5-6. You have to have at least 1 elite QB in order to win. And if you get a Rodgers, Manning, Brees, Luck, you can wait a little longer for your 2nd QB and make up your potential disadvantage at RB while everyone is scrambling for the last QBs.

Yeah the draft is a huge mess. You see guys like Eli Manning drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round becuase everyone is scrambling to get their QBs secured before they end up with a garbage QB. I have Brees and Tannehill starting with Kyle Orton as my backup currently. The only year I won this league, I lucked out in picking up Vick off waivers the year Reid gave him the reigns of the Eagles, and had Brees and Vick lead me to victory every week.

There are a lot of people in the league that complain and want the 2 QB thing changed, and others that love it because it creates additional strategy and extra focus on the FA pool.

On a ranting note, in said league, I lost by 2.02 points last night, and am now 2-5 despite having scored the 2nd most points in the league. The only good news is that 8 teams make the playoffs, I'm in 10th but the 6th-9th place teams are all 3-4.

I have been involved in the 1st, 2nd and 4th closest margin games this season, and was the losing team in each.

My opponent that beat me this week is 5-1 despite scoring 200 less points than me this year. If I played his schedule I would be 6-1. Figures.

In the last 3 weeks, I have faced the teams that ranked 2nd, 1st and 1st in my 14-team league in scoring for that week, including, this week, a guy who traded Aaron Rodgers in a rebuilding effort DURING THE WEEK before facing me.

thoroughly enjoying all these non-hillman denver td runs

>:-(

Would also be nice if Rivers tried to pass to Oliver beyond the LOS. he's positive now with a 22 yard completion but before that he has 5 receptions for -4 yards and 6 yards on 9 carries. Ugh

He came through with 13 points in a PPR league...despite having 40 total yards and no TDs. Hahahaha. Thank god for PPR!

Branden Oliver and Marques Colston as my Flex over Eric Decker and Denard Robinson. Cost me 30 points in PPR. Thanks, guys!

lost by 2, now left with an uphill climb for playoff contention and i'm left cursing stupid [expletive] like Mike McCoy's decision to go for it on 4th down instead of taking the points

Blowout games where the key players stop trying are completely killing me.

Yeah, seems to be more blowouts this year than ever before. And it's not like the teams that are up big are stopping. It's the team's losing that mail it in. You'd expect some garbage time points in these scenarios, but it's not really working out that way as far as I can tell.
