On the surface, that seems absurd, but it would absolutely be a grind to be up every day, having to talk about anything for hours. Especially if you have depressive tendencies like Dah Mah Nah (and myself).

My understanding is that he loves to be on the radio for the playoffs (who wouldn't) and hates the grind of regular seasons. For me, the amount of money being offered would get me over that really quick, but obviously he has personal demons that he deals with that are significant.

I watched about three minutes of Brian Kenney debating Christopher Russo on MLBN, and that was all it took to fill me with a terrible rage and make me want to strangle Mad Dog. People like him are why I avoid sports radio like it's the plague. Meatballs are the [expletive] worst.

Well he got a job...just not on sports radio. He's doing 5am-10am on 97.1 The Drive.

It bugs me that we can't get a 3rd sports talk radio station to stick in Chicago...

 

For example:

-Dallas, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, NYC, LA, Philly, Memphis, Nashville, Washington and Detroit have 3 stations

-Houston and Cleveland/Akron and Boston/NH have 4 stations

 

Granted I'm sure at least 1 station in those cities only broadcasts national content 24/7, but that's still better than when the Score has a NIU game on and ESPN is replaying Cowherd or something.

They haven't mentioned an announcement upcoming or anything so far, so may be a false alarm. LoHo is committed to the 120sports.com thing right now, so I don't think that'll be the way they go.
