I guess the irony in it all is that Bernstein was getting praised by many of his woman peers for his Ray McDonald stuff earlier in the day (rightly so for the most part).

 

Lada was pretty pissed at Bernstein and DiCaro let it be known he was wrong but she barely said anything on it so far since she always defends Dan.

 

I think this makes it's pretty clear he's just talking out about McDonald to get the audience fired up and attack the Bears.

 

He's got a pretty clear history of arguing these kinds of social issues in sports though, and doing a very good job at it. But I think a bit of wine and twitter got him in some deep water last night.

 

Right, he's playing the game and saying the right things. Meanwhile, just under the surface is the real, drooling over boobs on Twitter, Bernstein. A lot of guys do that on Twitter but they're not 'Senior' reporters who host the most popular sports talk show in a major market. A guy in his position, especially if he claims to champion the opposite of this stuff, can't be this socially stupid on Twitter.

 

He should get suspended.

It is. I just think he was trying to be goofy and make fun of himself (at least the subsequent tweets) in the process but it obviously comes off really poorly...especially on Twitter.

Yeah in the past I've heard him say the same things about various reporters and weather women.

 

The blowback and discipline will be especially entertaining given his nature.
