Really psyched for 2016, you guys.

Yes. I know a lot of fans think the Bulls should trade the pick--and they can if they get good value, but some people are fine trading it for average players that won't change anything. I am completely fine waiting this thing out with the confidence that the Bobcats will continue to be terrible and hoping for a top pick in the future. That is the the kind of thing that can completely change a franchise... not some trade for Jason Thompson.

Well, all they have to do is suck next year, get Andrew Wiggins and maybe that pick isn't so valuable. Not trading it for immediate value is a gamble.

Apparently Pressey wowed scouts at the combine until he started replicating his worst moments. I really think he could be a solid point off the bench, but his perception of his abilities doesn't match up anywhere close to reality. Oh well.

That should help them solidify another 2nd round playoff exit. 2016 first round pick and 2 future #'1 + Novak/Camby seems like a lot.

The NBA is trying to save the Knicks from themselves...

 

Earlier Sunday evening, the Knicks and Raptors had agreed on a trade sending Bargnani to New York and Marcus Camby, Steve Novak, a 2016 first-round pick and two future second-round picks to Toronto. But for a currently unknown reason, the NBA has decided not to approve the trade by the end of the night, which would have been necessary to complete the deal under the 2012-13 cap figures.

I can't determine what is more unbelievable about that story, that Bargnani was a #1 overall draft pick or that Marcus Camby is still in the NBA.

C.J. Watson is closing in on an agreement with the Indiana Pacers, according to league source.

It sounds like C.J. Watson's contract with the Indiana Pacers will be a two-year deal. It'll likely be worth more than the minimum.

 

Solid move on what should be a pretty cheap deal. DJ Augustin was dreadful last year, outside of a few games where his 3 pointers were falling.

Apparently there's mutual interest between the Pacers and Chris Copeland. Upgrading their outside shooting while filling their need for a backup at the 1 and 4 looks to be the Pacers' primary off-season plan. That and re-signing David West.
