Looks like Victor Oladipo, Trey Burke, Cody Zeller, Ben McLemore, Anthony Bennett and Michael Carter-Williams have all turned pro so far.

Dario Saric, the likely top international prospect this year, has turned pro.

Marcus Smart has also declared, hasn't he?

Either way this draft is looking like a giant pile of [expletive], maybe 2-3 guys turn out to be good starters on a playoff team and a handful turn into decent rotation guys and that's about it.

Dumb, I don't care how much you love college he's guaranteed to go top 5 and probably top 3, you don't pass up that money. Especially since next years draft is looking like it could be really strong and he can really only fall

But assuming he doesn't injure himself, which of course is no guarantee, falling to the late lottery could put him in a better position to succeed as a pro because he' could end up with a better supporting cast. So maybe he ends up in like Utah or somewhere instead of New Orleans or Phoenix

I don't know a whole lot about Smart and if that is the case then he probably should turn pro. But I don't know if I'd label it as "dumb" either. I can totally respect kids who want to go to 2+ years of school. The last prospect who deterred the NBA for 4 years turned into one of the best players of all time.

there've been several people mentioning that as a possibility

of course that'd involve a team passing up the opportunity to have the next Hasheem Thabeet

Cavs-Magic-Wizards get the top three picks. Wizards jumped up from eighth.

Can't complain about Gorgui Dieng to the Bulls at 20.

That'd be an excellent pick. If nothing else he could be a smaller version of Asik, with maybe the ability to actually hold the basketball too.

Exactly. He could play Asik's role.

Can't believe a good defensive (practically) 7-footer would go 20.

Kings move down in the lottery once again. In the last five years, they've had the 6th, 5th, 5th, 3rd and 1st worst records and have drafted 7th, 5th, 7th, 5th and 4th. The only year they didn't move down was 2012 (stayed at fifth) and three times moved down at least two spots.

I'm a dummy with NBA finances, but I wonder how close Thompson, #1 overall, and the future Kings 1st rounder they have would get them to Love. Maybe involve Varejao if more money needs to be going that way. They could use #19 on Withey/Dieng, add some depth with their early 2nds and in FA, and probably rise the ranks in the East pretty quickly. That may make the LeBron pipedream impossible financially though, I dunno.

Looks like Varejao works too if you wanted a real franken-deal. That'd be my preference then, to try and get to a core of Irving/Waiters/Love with a couple of Varejao/Thompson/#1/#19 to fill in around it. If the economics work to where a potential LBJ/Irving/Love trio would be possible, that's obviously the dream.

Apparently Dallas (pick #13) is trying to trade out of the first round or will draft a Euro because they want all the cap space they can get for Dwight.
