So is the Big Ten only getting 5 in the dance (MSU, UM, UW, Iowa, OSU)?

Most likely, unless Minnesota would like win out. Then they probably get in (OSU, IA, UM, PSU left). They still would maybe have to win a BIG tournament game in that scenario to get in.

Nebraska could still get in, but they have some work to do. I.E. not drop any easy ones and beat Wisconsin.

Huskers could finish 11-7 in the Big Ten and miss the tournament. That'd be kind of weird.

If they finish there with wins at Michigan State and over Wisconsin, I'd have to think they find their way in.

This feels like one of those years Illinois runs with an 11-12 seed to the BTT finals, because their results are so much worse than their overall play. Plus, now the freshmen have actually taken over most of the offensive contribution, and lo and behold they're playing better.

If it were in Chicago I could totally see that happening, I hope you are right.

If they get to 11-7 their projected RPI is 43. 1 in the BTT and that would be enough. I think Minnesota needs 8-10 + 1.

I don't know why I spend so much of my time invested in sports. It makes no sense. Brief moments of happiness overshadowed by 8,000 times more moments of sadness/anger.

Being emotionally invested in something that doesn't have a tangible effect on your life and that you have absolutely no control over is not the least bit rational. It's best not to think about it too much or you'll start to feel really foolish.

Of course one could consider being a Cubs fan a lifelong character building exercise, so there's that.

The philosophy of Schopenhauer, I believe.

I often tell others that I know how to deal with struggles in my life because I am a Cub fan

Weird...after today's UM win over MSU, there are only 2 more Big Ten games this season between teams that are currently ranked. Iowa @ MSU and MSU @ OSU

As long as you aren't one of those Iowa fans tweeting at your own players about how much they suck.

would someone just run over Tom Izzo already?

Seeing that and then seeing no ref or anything care just makes me angry (I didn't watch the game but I assume he got no technical because it's Izzo)
