McShay has the Bears taking Te'o first round.

i wouldn't hate that.

While the value would be there and it fits a need, I would not like it. MLB don't win football games in today's NFL. MLB aren't difference makers.

In the Bears defense, it's important though (especially one who is good in pass coverage). If the Bears are committed to sticking to the 4-3, I could see them taking someone like T'eo in the first round as a replacement for Urlacher.

But we're not sure what the defense will do going forward.

Te'o would be a big mistake for the Bears. I still can't believe they passed on Reiff last year.

Reiff I understand its DeCastro thats killing me. Especially since Chris Williams didn't go back to LG.

Fluker is a top 25 talent to me. Ive toyed with the idea of LB (Ogletree) in the first but unless the Bears get a couple starting OL and TE in free agency then they have to go offense first. Fluker is a good talent. His struggling at RT is overblown. He did a good job vs Mingo for LSU and othet speed rushers. I like him a lot as a Guard. But I think he can play RT in the NFL too. If he's the Bears RT though that means Carimi is either a lost cause or a RG.

I like Cooper a lot. But he may not be a fit at his size. Kromer runs s power blocking scheme and liked his OGs HUGE in New Orleans.

Johnson at 11 isn't unrealistic if the other 2 OTs are already gone. Its the Chargers biggest need. More likely they would try to trade down.

question, can barrett jones play LT in the NFL? he has the size and the history.

raw might be able to answer this better than me, but I'd guess no. He might be sufficient there, but I'd be really hesitant to plug in a guy who's been an interior lineman throughout college into the most important spot on an NFL offensive line.

He was an LT his first two years at Alabama but I don't think he'd be more than average in the NFL. He could be an All-Pro at center.

He did play LT in the 2011 season. But for all his versatility (started games in college at 4 of 5 OL spots), I don't think he's going to be very versatile going forward. He's strictly a guard, IMO. I don't even really like him that much as a C, but I guess a team could get away with playing him there.

Personally, I think he's a late 2nd-to-mid 3rd round talent. He's kind of like Stefan Wisnewski was last year out of Penn St. He'll likely give you average to slightly above average OL play on the interior for 10 years, but I think there are a lot of guys with more upside than him in this draft. On the interior, I'd pick Warmack, Cooper, Fluker, Warford, Frederick, Kyle Long, and probably even Dallas Thomas (because he's more likely to be able to play LT) over him.

I think Long is playing tackle in the NFL.

Jones isn't going to be Pouncey but I think he can still be one of the best centers in the NFL.

Yeah, Long will get a shot at OT first. But I think he will ultimately end up at LG. I think the best situation for him would be to be picked by a good team in the late 2nd and be a 6th lineman. He can fit in at either OT or OG when there is an injury. Groom him to play OT, but he has experience at OG.

Yeah, I like Jones more than a late 2nd-early 3rd pick. I wouldn't take him in the first, but I'd consider him fair game after that.

i'd take him in the first if we like him, won't be able to trade down and he won't be available at #50.

Cooper can play center too. I think his athleticism should help him make up any deficiency in size.

Oh I'm not worried about his size or his ability to play. Just not sure the Bears would be all that interested. I think he can play well in any scheme, just as I think the same about Warmack. His ability at C is underrated.

My guess is that there'd be somebody better that you're passing on if you do that. There might even be a better interior lineman available.

Will we franchise Melton? He's my main concern defensively, hope we lock him in without having to do that, but I don't want to lose him.
