Love Bennett.

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post/_/id/4684267/bennett-targets-chemistry-with-cutler

“I try to eat with (Cutler) as much as possible. I try to talk to him, drop by his room, even if it’s not about football; let him get to know me as a person,” Bennett explained. “He knows my background, and he knows I’ve got to feed my family. I’m helping him feed his family and we all understand that. I think it takes your game to another level. If you get personal with the wives and everyone’s family, their kid(s), you’ve got to go a little bit harder (on the field) for their family and those guys as well.”

But is Cutler open to that?

“Everybody’s open to that,” Bennett said. “Me and my wife are probably two of the coolest people in the world. It’s like Jay (Z) and Beyonce, then it’s me and my wife, then, it’s David Beckham and Victoria.”

Anyone think Cleveland or Buffalo or Miami or Jacksonville offers Cutler $23 million a year if Cutler performs well and the Bears lose him this offseason?

if the Bears want him, he cannot sign anywhere else.

It's almost a given that they wont let him go. You dont get rid of a QB like him unless you have his replacement ready to go. I do not want any part of thag QB wilderness.

also, Kyle Long has taken over Urlacher's title as the resident lip-less meathead.

Cutler and Mannelly on The Score with Zach Zaidman until 7pm.

Waddle and Silvy feel betrayed

Apparently Mannelly and Zaidman are gonna do the show on a weekly basis, and Cutler was just the guest this week. I still much prefer Cutler on Waddle and Silvy, but I don't think it's been officially announced that he's gonna do it. And the last time they talked to him, he specifically mentioned he hadn't agreed to it yet.

NFL Network was really trying to get him, but Urlacher will join Fox Sports 1.

The former Bears star will team with Jay Glazer, Curt Menefee and others on Fox Football Daily, which will debut Aug. 19, sources said.

Not surprising that he went where Glazer is. That's his boy.

At times the last few summers, training camp would be called "Club Lovie" because of the attention the former coach paid to keeping players, particularly veterans, healthy with practices that kept the big picture in focus.

The Bears put on full pads Sunday morning for the first time under coach Marc Trestman and there was as little hitting as this team has had in the last decade. The unmistakable cracking of shoulder pads colliding didn't punctuate the two-hour practice often.

Some first-year coaches prefer to put their team through grueling sessions to get the players accustomed to a new way of doing things. The Bears are moving fast under Trestman, getting from play to play and session to session in an efficient manner. But they did so without a lot of demanding hitting.

Every year, I go into training camp, knowing better than to buy into the hype, but I really like Kyle Long, and think he could really be good, long term if not short term.

He's going to start at RG. I do like James Brown, but Kyle has looked great from all accounts. Interested to see what that right side does in run blocking. And Long will see a lot of Suh at RG.

he's a lefty and lefties rarely play on the right side, could be concerning.

Bushrod on the sidelines at practice. Ice being applies to back of leg....

If it was serious, you'd think he'd be in the locker room, right?
