Yeah, if they're talking strictly on the stadium, Ole Miss doesn't belong anywhere on that. Gameday atmosphere was a ton of fun though. On the flipside, Nebraska's atmosphere sucked.

11. Vaught-Hemingway Stadium - Home of the Mississippi Rebels

LOL @ this. That stadium is a joke.

That's a bit harsh. What makes it a joke? Nevertheless, there is no way it should be ranked even in the top 30. I think the writer must be amalgamating the Grove (which is generally considered the best tailgate experience) with the stadium itself. That's the only explanation. Or it's possible he just looked at pretty coeds the whole time in the stadium.

It's called "Stadium Experience Rankings" and in the article specifically states that the tailgating is the reason it is on the list.

"Our rankings of the stadium experiences are based on considering many aspects of the stadium experience including food and beverage served, overall atmosphere, the neighborhood, fans, access to and within the stadium, and overall return on investment."

Well then the rating isn't that far off.

SSR, why were you in Oxford for a game?

And again, VHS is not a bad place to watch a game or a terrible stadium in the least bit.

Went for our annual college road trip a couple years back. Sprinted to the Grove at 9 PM, ate the burger with the grilled cheese buns, probably my favorite road trip since ND/USC Bush Push game. The stadium was very meh though.

If they're including tailgating, then I have no issue with the spot on the list. I just skimmed the names and didn't read the descriptions. I loved everything else about the trip to Oxford but the stadium is a small step up from some Texas HS stadiums. Now they get a bit nuts with HS football here, but I was unimpressed with the stadium and in game experience there.

Rumors of a huge drug bust (70+ students) on the Alabama campus today. I wonder how many football players.

Honeybadger has just taken his operations to a different campus

Well of course the stadium isn't the selling point for Ole Miss, it's the girls in sun dresses.

I liked y'alls band. Most everyone that I was with stopped what they were doing at halftime and with mouth agape watched that gigantic band of yours.

As far as SEC traveling experience goes, and I haven't been to all of them, but I'd say (and this is obvious) LSU and Florida have the best. Bama is a fun experience just because it's Bama, but the fans are truly obnoxious. Vandy is pretty lame but it's in Nashville, so that's fun. Arkansas is OK but it's in the middle of nowhere and it takes forever to get there. Georgia was sort of similar to Ole Miss, except bigger. Athens is kind of like Oxford times five. Similar vibe to the towns. Starkville is aptly named. It truly must be a herculean task to get any real talent to play for Miss State because that town and that school are ugly and boring as hell. Never been to a football game at Auburn, Tenn, USCe, or Kentucky.

We've already booked a hotel for the Texas game in Austin. Really pumped about seeing a game there.

Austin is a fun town, but I wouldn't expect much from the game atmosphere. It won't be bad but it won't be anything extraordinary.

Was only 30, not 70+.

Most of the arrested were centered around the sale or possession of marijuana. Small amounts of cocaine, LSD, prescription pills and ecstasy were also confiscated.

What villains!!!

Makes me literally sick to think about what a waste this "war on drugs" really is.

That wasn't the case in the fall. Personally I think he should be in a classroom like everyone else but I can understand his reasoning. After the first few days of class people wouldn't be bugging him any more. The novelty would wear off. If anything, this will make it worse when he is seen around campus. And there are plenty of students taking online classes. It isn't like they were setup just for him.

Most major D1 universities probably wouldn't allow/offer a student to be in only online classes for a 4 year degree, probably would have to have physical classroom classes at some point (especially for classes in your specific major). But most, if not all, probably have the ability to allow students to at least have a few semesters completely online if they scheduled correctly. I'm guessing when he would be required to have physical classroom classes he'd schedule them in the summer when campus would be less crowded and he'd be a lesser distraction.
