But Texas A&M isn't oversigning....they have eig....never mind, let's talk ND instead of this.

Out of the four 5 stars, which are you most excited about? They all bring so much to the table. Jaylon will be the best player long term. Bryant is the first stud back we have signed in a very long time. Vanderdoes is a hoss and solidifies our line for the foreseeable future (Tuitt-Nix-Vanderdoes is pretty sexy). But, I think Redfield might be the most important signing. Our defensive backfield was exposed in the MNC game and we need some truly elite DB's...Redfield is in that category. GREAT class...future is bright.

A&M up to 33 signees. Glad they moved to the sec so they could take advantage of the class limit.

I don't think your numbers are right. We had 8 early enrollees that counted towards 2012 since we signed a very small class last year. We signed 23 today and had room for 2 more. One is not going to qualify so he didn't sign (Derrick Griffin will go JUCO and hopefully end up at A&M eventually) and one decided to grayshirt since he won't be able to play in 2013 anyway (JJ Gustafson blew out his knee in his last HS game).

JJ decided to grayshirt? Something tells me Sumlin decided JJ would grayshirt.

ESPN lists A&M with 32 signees, plus JJ (who wanted to sign, but had to grayshirt, er, decided to grayshirt), and Grififn.

We have two open spots in this class so JJ could have signed. When he enrolls in January he will count back to this class anyway. The bottom line is that this is not the classic oversigning issue you've seen in the past. Every one of these players has a scholarship and as long as they make the grades as expected and don't sign an MLB contract (Kohl Stewart) they will all be on campus in the fall if not before. No one is getting trapdoored or screwed out of a place on the team. Edited by Old Style

Checked and AJ Hilliard just transferred from TCU but is listed as a signee. That's where the extra one is coming from.

So Alex Collins finally signed with Arkansas when his dad signed his LOI with him. Now his mom has hired an attorney. Is she going to sue her son for going to a school that she didn't choose?

An 18 year old even needing a parental signature is beyond stupid. The state of Florida should be allowed to sue her for wasting people's time.

USC one of only 5 teams not to sign any 3* players.

The other 4 teams didn't sign any 4 or 5* players. They'll be unbeatable in 7 on 7 camps.

That's still a big assumption in Kiffen's ability.

This is going over well in Wolverineland

Defensive back Reon Dawson had switched his commitment from Illinois to Michigan three weeks ago, and yesterday he formally signed with the Wolverines. Dawson, who lives in Trotwood, Ohio, had wanted to go to Ohio State, but the Buckeyes never offered him a scholarship. Not that it left him with any hard feelings.

From the Dayton Daily News:

"Until I die, I'm gonna be a Buckeye fan even though I'm going (to Michigan). When we play (OSU) I'm gonna still bring my ‘A' game. But, I love Ohio State."

I thought the issue was that he was only 17. Also, is it just me or does this whole thing reek of the mom getting offered something from the Miami people if her boy played there?

National Football Post giving IU's recruiting class some love.

Indiana: Kevin Wilson had a fantastic first full recruiting cycle, as the Hoosiers are bringing in one of the program's most talented hauls in memory. Georgia native Rashard Fant bypassed SEC offers and is the Hoosiers' gem of the class. He's an athlete who can play receiver but who may project best as a cornerback. Meanwhile, Wilson was able to get defensive tackle Darius Latham to flip from Wisconsin and defensive end David Kenney III to flip from Iowa. Army All-American safety Antonio Allen and linebacker Kristopher Smith are also in the fold and should develop into solid defenders. Wilson and his staff understand that going outside of the state is huge, and they have been able to do that this cycle. Two JUCO defensive tackles and a JUCO linebacker also are being brought in, and the Hoosiers need all the help they can get defensively.

With IU's defense the last 30 or so years, I'd imagine 3-4 of these guys may be able to start Day 1. The offense has been able to score with anybody (except Wisconsin) in the last few years, and have 3 potentially productive options at QB. If a few of these kids pan out, could be looking at a bowl team really soon.

Gotta love Meyer's cocky ass trying to fix the entire Big Ten instead of just his Buckeyes.

He's not wrong. He's lapping the field in recruiting already, and the overall B1G recruiting is pretty awful

Lapping the field? He's a new coach at one if the top historical programs coming off a 12-win season. And UM is just a few spots behind OSU.

Plus, has he really recruited better than Tressel did most years? He landed a pretty puff gig. Let's see him land a top-10 class at Purdue and then run his mouth.
