so is the entire SEC playing Division 3 schools this week?

Three conference games by my count. The SEC has the last laugh when they all get moved up the polls for losing only three games combined. I mean, no other conference can do that.

6 teams in the top 10 is a little excessive. The SEC isn't that good.

I agree, but I have a hard time seeing who should be ranked higher. I think maybe FSU and Clemson should, but cannot make any great argument why. They both will have a chance to beat a Top Ten SEC school.

This happens every year. They cannibalize each other so evenly that it all works out for them. The apparent absence of any other really good second-tier teams helps too.

FSU and Clemson should be ranked lower. FSU beat Clemson and that's it while Clemson's beaten nobody. Out of the 12 teams in the ACC, only five have winning records (three more are 5-5) and only two have more than six wins.

Abuck, how is isu at stopping the run?

they were a lot better before knott went out for the season, but still decent. it's their pass defense that has been horrid the last two weeks.

i had been marking this down as a win (and the win they need to get to 6) all season, but they looked awful the last two weeks and kansas apparently gave TT a game.

We're playing a lot better. Should have beaten Texas. Had a great shot at tech and ok state. But we can't throw the ball, and we can't stop the pass. I think it could be a good game. We'll need usu to make some mistakes.

I pointed this out in last weeks thread but who has South Carolina beat? Georgia and that's it. They've also lost twice instead of once for FSU. How about georgia? They beat Florida and no one else. Both teams also got completely blown out in 2 of their 3 combined losses. Florida state lost by 1 point.

Well, the SEC might not be a dominant conference this year but it's still significantly better than the ACC, which by the computer rankings which rate conferences, is closer to being a mid-major than it is to being among the non-Big East BCS conferences.

Here are where the third-best ACC team is ranked in the six computer rankings along with FSU and Clemson's SOS in those rankings (if available).

Anderson & Hester: Miami No. 55 Miami. 88/73

Billingsley: No. 47 Duke

Colley Matrix: No. 51 Duke 95/86

Massey: No. 60 Duke 101/72

Sagarin: No. 46 UNC. 90/81

Wolfe: No. 51 Duke

I don't feel like going through all of the polls so I'm just going to use Sagarin for this. There are seven Big 10 teams, eight Big 12 teams, nine Pac-12 teams and 10 SEC teams rated higher than No. 46 UNC. Seeing as the other polls have the No. 3 ACC team rated lower than Sagarin, I'm guessing the same holds true for those also.

FSU and Clemson might be better than some of those major conference teams you mentioned, but nothing they've done so far proves it. We'll see how good they are on Nov. 24, when FSU plays Florida and Clemson plays South Carolina.

I'd like to thank Grantland for pointing me to the the following report, which informed me that Johnny Manziel was arrested with not one, but two fake ID's after a fight in the offseason.

So I guess people around here care about Texas A&M now?

It's more a feeling of a momentary gratitude, followed by a quick return to apathy. At least for me.

So I guess people around here care about Texas A&M now?

Why would that concern you?

Oh maybe I would like to post about my alma mater's football team like everyone else without people whining and crying that no one cares about A&M on here. It's what happened over & over a few months ago so I stopped posting about the Aggies. Now others are posting about them so I guess it's OK if I do too. Now I guess you can go back to your HYSTERICAL schtick of confusing A&M with Texas State or Texas Tech. Start talking about Lubbock when you really mean College Station again like the good old days. So [expletive] funny to see that posted over and over and over and over and over.

Everyone gets [expletive] about their team in this thread. If you can't handle a little ribbing, maybe it's not the best place to chat about your team. Or become an ND fan. People everywhere love us.

Which one is where those asstomouth freaks are from? Cause I love 'em this week.
