i choose to put a lot of stock in lunardi's bracket because it makes me feel the best. if Baylor and indiana st are that close to making the tourney I feel better about Isu's chances.

Wow, what the hell is wrong with Butler?

They evidently can't handle presses. IU's press pretty much destroyed them late in that game--and IU isn't a pressing team (of course, one wonders why the press wasn't used more that game, but I digress).

They're a lot closer to a bubble team than many think right now. VCU is a quality team, though.

This is more your forte than mine, but wins over Indiana and Gonzaga pretty much have to be trump cards, right? (Add to that Marquette and North Carolina.) But since beating Gonzaga the only team they've beaten worth a damn is Temple (6-5 since beating Gonzaga).

They'll still probably make it, but they failed to win any of the four games they played against the quality A-10 teams, and took a terrible home loss to Charlotte in the process.

Butler is in. No question. Does the A10 get 5 this year? LaSalle is ahead of Butler in conference play with wins over Butler and at VCU. Also beat Villanova. Temple is probably more iffy, but they did beat Syracuse and Saint Louis. End with VCU at home and if they can win that, I think they should be in. Of course they are in a dogfight with a bad RI team right now.

Ben McLemore is a totally different player at home than on the road.

He needs to stick around another year and work on that.

LSU 6 of 8 from 3 in the first 10 minutes. Ridiculous.

He should, but he can't. He is going one or two.

Is ball handling a learnable skill at this level? Because that's what I think McLemore should be focusing on.

Yeah it is to an extent. You can become a passable ball handler, but he's not going to develop not a point guard or anything unless that's all he worked on.

It's really more his ability to create his own shot that he think is his biggest shortcoming. I guess that's ball handling+ first step/explosiveness?

That's probably never going to be his game, but he could get better there.

I think it can be improved by staying and working on it. But, it's not like he's gonna go higher in next years draft. In fact with wiggins, Parker, and the rest of the Kentucky kids he'd probably go lower. He has to go.

Oh, I agree. He'd be a fool to stay, especially considering his family situation.
