Couple of thoughts:

 

If we start the mock draft on the day FA starts (March 13), we could go 37 days of mock draft until April 18. Just get as deep as we can (for those who are junkies and want to go past 2 rounds). Don't be strict on any schedule, something like roughly a 10-12 hour limit (excluding middle of the night hours) before you miss your slot.

 

Then if we start over on Apr-19 and average 4 a day-being stringent on the time slots- we could get a first round draft v2.0 in right before the actual draft, which will be more a more accurate since its right up to the draft. Since there'd be pretty straightforward draft times, allow trades during this portion. Yea it sucks to be in a specific time slot, we all have work and lives, but at least you'll be pretty sure if you'll be available to post or not during your slot, and if you aren't you find a volunteer you can send your top 4 board to the day before.

 

Also we don't want to be too worried about accuracy since once crazy pick early will affect the whole mock draft anyways. I think the Suh/Bradford draft someone picked Suh for the Rams pick and the rest of the first round ended up being wacky and inaccurate.

I can go either way on trades. It might bog down the process waiting on myself or someone else to approve each trade, but at the same time there always a spot or two that is an obvious trade down and we know that pick won't be right.

 

As far as starting the mock, April 1 is fine by me. I'm pretty open to that as well, as I'd be fine starting soon or waiting til then.
