Yes. The entire point is that they are using expanded night games and signage to pay for the renovation. They can't afford it without it.

How much more valuable is a night game than a day game? Do tBothhey think they will draw more/sell more merchandise? Or are more night games more valuable to a future TV deal?

both I would think

What a bunch of crap, everyone should know the rooftop owners only care about themselves. I hope it pours all night and postpones tonight's game:

http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2013/04/10/rooftop-owners-to-host-wrigleyville-neighbors-appreciation-night/

The event is being build as an “opportunity to tour the Rooftop businesses yourself and hear from a diverse group of Wrigleyville neighbors about their commitment to their community.”

If any NSBB member lives in the Wrigleyville area, here's your chance to tell the rooftop owners what you think of them.

That seems like a valuable use of time.

I'll go for the free food and beer. Don't see how to get on a list anywhere though...

just build a wrigley replica

And then write it off

You don't even know what a write-off is.

But they do. And they're the ones writing it off!

They want the night games to build their TV deals. Rickets has said this many times. They will get more viewers at night games then home games, and when their deals come up they want to be able to get a deal close to the Dodgers.

God, I hate Cubs fans.

Are we sure Cubs fans had anything to do with it? Sounds like something a Sox fan would do.

Actually, keeping goats is more like something a sports team-agnostic Pilsen-invading hipster would do.

So, a goat's head was mailed to Wrigley today......

Unreal

Oh, it wasn't mailed; it was left outside of one of the gates and was addressed to Tom Ricketts.

So [expletive] tedious.

I would imagine they have cameras at the security gate. Should be able to check the license plate if he drove up and figure out who the vehicle belongs to. Also idk what's all on a USDA tag but maybe there is some identification they could pull off that to track it to somewhere/someone.

[Cubs spokesman Julian Green said an unidentified person dropped off a package with a goat’s head at Gate K of the ballpark at 1060 W. Addison St.

The head was all black and had a U.S. Department of Agriculture tag on its ear, a police source said.

It was delivered by a man who drove up to the ballpark's security gate, the source said. The man gave the package to a security guard and asked him to deliver it to Tom Ricketts, the source said. The man then got back into his truck and drove away.

"We’re not stealing their product because we pay them,” Murphy said on WSCR-AM 670's "The Mully and Hanley Show." “I don’t think it’s very much different from if you get the Major League package from Comcast or wherever and people come to your bar to watch the Blue Jays.”

The owner of Murphy's Bleachers also said: “I absolutely believe there’s a deal to be made. I keep making the point that we don’t have a seat at the table, so some of this is happening around us. … I think we can reach some type of consensus and I’m hopeful that we will.”
