nice visual representation of how many of the buildings they own now

it's kinda funny how it went totally under the radar that the reason the bleachers were late last year was that they had to have revised plans approved to not block the rooftops they'd soon own and instead the narrative was "haha stupid cubs don't know chicago has bad winters"

so it's 10/16 now. Do you guys that live there know which ones are still individually owned and if they're the ones that have been the assholes through all of this?(I'd assume so anyway)

Soon they'll own them all and demolish them to build the outfield upper deck.

apparently heyward was on CSN yesterday. said they got a tour of the new clubhouse. joked "it's not big enough."

also, not sure if it's been talked about before or not, but kenney mentioned on his interview on the score that having the rooftops owned by the ricketts family (as well as the rooftops not being part of the ballpark itself) allows them to keep that money out of the mlb revenue sharing.

Any idea how much revenue those things produce in a given year?

There's a new rendering for the clubhouse and it has me thinking they ditched the two level plan that they originally had. Kind of a bummer as that looked pretty cool. Wonder if they discovered that digging that deep there wasn't feasible, was too expensive, or just couldn't get done in time. Or maybe they just decided to devote that to food prep or something, which they maybe wouldn't bother showing in renderings.
