I don't know why I convince myself every year that this will be the offseason that Boras doesn't absolutely fleece someone for his star client.

 

I have a buddy who has been railing for a few weeks now on how Boras has had a horrible offseason.

After the Rangers spent their money on Darvis and the Cubs acquired Rizzo and obviously went in full rebuild mode, I thought Boras had priced himself into a corner where he had the Nats negotiating against themselves. But there's always the mystery team. Seriously, I don't know why a high profile baseball player would have anyone else as their agent. He's the best at what he does.
