This is the same Saints team who lost to Tampa.

JK, They are definitely the biggest threat standing in front of Green Bay as of right now. Not that I am afraid to go to New Orleans but it's a good thing they beat them head to head so they basically have a 2 game lead on them right now in case Green Bay and New Orleans happen to meet in January.

3 games lead with the tie breaker.

Do we ever consider the 49ers a legit threat to win the NFC? I haven't seen them play once.

Of course it is a 3 game lead that is what I was trying to imply but I screwed it up.

And I don't. Sorry to all 49er fans out there.

You can expect a sternly-worded letter in tomorrow's Williston Herald.

Brees 31/35, 325 yds, 5 TD

Saints offense is just stupid. Their rushing attack is bad to the bone as well with Sproles, Thomas, and Ingram.

Rodgers still had a higher passer rating this week than Brees. ;)

Not sure who will have the higher QBR though. My guess is Brees.

No one cares about fantasy, but imagine going up against Brees, Graham, Colston, and Kasay tonight. That's not me, but it is happening in my league.

It's ridiculous that a person would have so many guys on one team. I know the Saints are good, but you are severely limiting the number of plays in which your guys can score points if you have that many on the same team.

Yeah yeah, and one of the truly abysmal teams in the league just played you guys to within a touchdown! :)

I think there is definitely a chance we'll meet again in the NFC Champ. Certainly matched up very well when we played each other.

Well at least that Vikings game was entertaining. Ponder is going to make mistakes but he made some plays and it was nice to see a guy not afraid to take shots when he had to. He does a good job of feeling the pressure and moving in the pocket. Arm strength looks fine. He had to have converted almost as many 2nd half 3rd downs as McNabb has all year.

The Vikings have been in every game except the Bears game.

We went to the Saints game last night. They just have so many weapons with the three-headed monster at RB along with Graham, Colston, Meachem, Moore, and Henderson all being capable receivers.

Since Indy, Miami and St. Louis don't play each other this year, there exists the possibility of 3 0-16 teams.

Lets look at their chances of getting a win...

Miami:

@NYG, @KC, vs. WAS, vs. BUF, @ DAL, vs. OAK, vs. PHI, @BUF, @NE, vs. NYJ

Comment: Ouch. The only winnable games there are KC, Was, Buf and Oak, all 4 of those teams you have to catch them on a bad day to beat. Legitimate 0-16 possibilities.

Indy:

@ TEN, vs. ATL, vs. JAX, vs. CAR, @ NE, @ BAL, vs. TEN, vs. HOU, @ JAX

Comment: The AFC South is shitty and they still have 2 games left against the Jags who might be worse than the Colts. They also still have 2 games against really mediocre up and down Tennessee and a decent Carolina team. They will likely get at least a win despite them probably being the worst of the 0-fer teams.

Rams: vs. NO, @ ARI, @ CLE, vs. SEA, vs. ARI, @ SF, @ SEA, vs. CIN, @ PIT, vs. SF

Comment: Strangely enough, St. Louis has yet to play an NFC West team and doesnt for another 2 weeks. That says everything right there. 2 games left against Seattle and Arizona plus a game against Cleveland and another against Cincinnati (decent right now but still not sold that they are a playoff team). If they don't win a game they truely are the worst team of all time.

So my prediction is St. Louis 3-13, Indy 2-14, Miami 1-15

So you did just as well as everyone else. Give them the trophy now.

Clearly stated earlier that the Saints are a major hurdle for the Packers and that they have a great O-line. Also, just stated a fact about the Vikings. Never said anything about crowning the Packers. Winning 3 (or 4) straight games against good opponents is never easy for any team.

Is there a possibility for a coin flip for Luck?

Only if two teams played identical SOS. If not, the team that played the weakest schedule would get the first pick. Odds are that'll be St. Louis, since they get to play the other two worst teams in the NFC twice each.

Here's an NFL oddity with current scheduling: It is only possible for a maximum of 4 teams to go winless in the NFL in a given year (since each team plays an entire other division in their conference). So, the possibility of 3 is pretty rare.

per FO, Indy has the best chance at 0-16, with 1% likelihood

it's not something that should really even be possible, unless your team is coached by Rod Marinelli with Millen as the architect

Yeah the Colts probably have the best odds because they are 0-7 while the other 2 are 0-6

is Stafford hurt? I thought ESPN was saying he's having an MRI today?

Glazer said he was in a walking boot and had an MRI scheduled for today. Don't know the extent yet, but the only thing I read was that it wasn't expected to be serious.

it doesn't sound like it, but i'm not too worried either way

Linehan's conservative playcalling recently has effectively moved us to a dink and dunk offense, which suits Hill much better anyway
