You have to kick the field goal there btw.

This frustrated me more than anything in that game. More than the O-Line that got beat repeatedly by the same scheme. More than the receivers dropping passes. More than the terrible challenge. WHAT THE [expletive] WAS THE GOAL THERE? You're down two scores with under a minute to play and you're throwing passes to the middle of the field and then refusing to spike the ball on top of it?

I'm a Lovie supporter, but that was [expletive]-for-brains coaching right there.

As bad as the OL was and the penalties sucked, this L is on the defense and coaching staff. Get a FG early and the game may have been slightly different. Make a better call on 4th and 1 and the game would have been a lot different. Martz continues to refuse to give his obviously overmatched OTs any help. Even with that, the Bears D has gotta make some stops. No excuse for giving up 3 plays over 45 yards. Without those plays, the Lions can't score.

Sports talk radio is going to be really entertaining tomorrow.

Which one(s) can I get on my phone? I've got to hear what's being said.

The "Sports Radio" iPhone app steams 670 the Score. ESPN Radio app streams ESPN 1000.

Thanks. Very sad that I'm that I'm that interested in hearing what's being said when times are this bad.

Sports radio is much more interesting to listen to when times are bad, especially in this city.

No doubt. I've had my taste of it from time to time when I visit my Dad and family up there. Just never really thought to try and catch it (regardless of good or bad times) until now.

A classic example of an aging, badly coached team making a good team look better than it is, Lions have a big dose of reality coming their way when they play the Packers. The Packers, very much un-like the Bears are a competent NFL team really, a competent NFL team would have beaten the Lions tonight.

No you go for a TD and the 2 point conversion for the tie....

...that is if Lovie wasn't a complete dumbass in the 1st quarter.

If the Bears had kicked that FG early, on the 2nd to last time they had the ball, they go for 4th and 4 from the 32 instead of going FG then.

Take this team out back and shoot it. Just end this sham. The smoke and mirrors gimmick [expletive] we have been running since World War II is over. [expletive] all this [expletive].

DRose you are only hope. Oh wait the NBA season is being nuked.

Here Come the Hawks, the mighty Blackhawks

Take the attack, Yeah, and we'll back you Blackhawks

You're flyin' high now, so let's wrap it up

Let's go you Hawks, move off

Now all look out, Here Come the Hawks,

Here Come the Hawks, Here Come the Hawks, Here Come the Hawks, Here come the Hawks

Here they come movin', weavin', flyin' high and throwin' spray,

Blades flashin' sticks crashin' tryin' for the play,

And the Blackhawks, take control,

There's a shot, AND A GOAL!

Here Come the Hawks, the mighty Blackhawks

Take the attack, Yeah, and we'll back you Blackhawks

You're flying high now, so let's wrap it up

Let's go you Hawks, move off

Just trying to help you dumbass

Perhaps, trying to get at the Blackhawks being an example of well coached, young, good team that's the polar opposite of the Bears.

Offseason plan:

Fire Martz. We just don't have the pieces to run his little system, and when his system isn't in place, he is a negative for the team.

Fire Angelo. Probably wishful thinking though.

That's all I have right now, unless we need to rehash the glaringly obvious need for 3-4 offensive lineman, a game changing WR, competent safeties, depth at LB and DE/DT.

I wonder if it would have helped the LBs if we did have some depth and didn't have to rely on Briggs and Urlacher playing every moment of every game.

In my opinion Angelo' got to go, I've no confidence in his ability to build a team through the draft which is what he'll have to do to turn it around.

Terrible challenge is right. Haven't followed the thread, but shouldn't Lovie have thrown the flag on the Calvin Johnson reception and possible fumble. It was called an incomplete pass, but I thought that had a better chance than the ridiculous challenge that he made. It was at least worth a shot. More so than that terrible challenge that he actually made. Lovie is horrible at challenges. No surprise.

Wasn't surprised that they lost. Cutler impressed me tonight. He was getting killed back there and made some good plays. Defense was somewhat encouraging after the Panthers game. They had some lapses but its not like the Lions moved the ball at will. But the Bears will never be a contender the way the O line is playing. Absolutely horrible.

If the O-Line and WRs continue playing this way, this may be the best opportunity yet to get rid of Angelo.

Melton hasnt made a play in a month and where the [expletive] has Paea been? I do think Harris will play better.

Lions have a great pass rush and the Packers have a weak O-line. I think that game will be closer than you think. Don't get me wrong, I still think the Packers win, but it ain't gonna be no blowout.

I initially welcomed Martz after the likes or Ron Turner and John Shoop. At least Martz can be innovative, I thought. But the guy is so ridiculously stubborn. Stubborn with personnel. And stubborn with his system. The NFL is clearly different than what it was during the greatest show on turf. The Bears don't have Orlando Pace and those receivers. Martz refuses to adapt, but rather wants the team to adapt to him.

I say blow the whole thing up. Fire Lovie as far as I'm concerned. Although that's probably not going to happen after the extension.

73% comp %, 0 ints and a TD and he still can't get a 100 QB rating. Must be because he can't complete or attempt a pass farther than 5 yards down field due to constant pressure.

Gotta give the Lions credit though, the Bears usually thrive when their pass catchers can get YAC and the Lions didn't allow much of that at all. Very field open fields for the Bears. I think a big part of that is that their safeties were positioned very well on most plays. Forte made it past the first wave of defenders a couple of different times and there was always someone there to get in front of him on a good angle. I guess it helps when you can keep 7 guys back because you only need 4 guys to get in Cutlers face within 3.5 seconds of him snapping the ball.

more then anything, tonight just emphasized how much this defense is aging. They've been getting blown up a lot recently, but tonight really hit home.

they need a #1 OL, stud WR, and boatload of defensive depth not on the DL. get Hester out of the offense, its always been a stupid idea.

Dilfer, Young and some other guy (Jawoski maybe, didnt look like him)were just discussing Cutler. Dilfer made some comment that Angelo has said Jay"..holds onto the ball too long". Dilfer basically pointed out how incredibly stupid that comment was, as Cutler is constantly running for his life. He also hammered Angelo on not getting Cutler support.

Young took Cutler to task on not working on his footwork enough, questioning his "passion". Dilfer took offense to that, saying Cutler was fighting "...like a Warrior" and that setting his feet tonight would have gotten him killed. He also pointed out that no other QB in the league could have made the throws he had to make. The other dude agreed with him.

Young thinks Cutler should be one f the top 2 QBs in the league, he just doesn't "put the necessary time in". idk.

Hopefully, more people start to point out Angelo's ineptitude to the point where Ted Phillips finally wakes the [expletive] up and cans his ass.

I think you mean Young instead of Marino. Steve Young's probably the worst football analyst out there.

I did. I get the two mixed up, to me they look alike.
