Alright folks, here we go. A couple of things:

1) This year I will save myself some time by omitting mention of the non-FBS games on the schedule, though this isn’t meant to discourage fans of those teams (Flames for SIU, Truffle for HC, etc) to discuss those games.

2) It should be noted that all games broadcast by an ESPN network (outside of ABC games) are also broadcast on ESPN3.com. This also holds for any game identified as being on the SEC Network or the ACC Network. As always, times listed are Eastern time.

paterno? come on. it's the athletic department (won't play fewer than 7 home games each year because they use the profits to fund the rest of the university's athletic programs) and the list of BCS conference teams who play more than one non-pushover outside of conference is pretty short.

Hopefully Tennessee will come out focused and ready against Montana, because losing to an FCS team (even a legit one like Montana) would be embarassing.

I'm fairly optimistic about this season. This Tennessee team is going to be ridiculously young again - still mostly freshmen and sophomores, but at least with a few juniors and seniors mixed in this time around. However, the SEC East is probably going to be really down this year and 7-8 wins is very realistic. If a few surprise guys break out and guys like Bray, Hunter and others improve as they should, 9 wins isn't out of the question.

With Da'Rick Rogers and Justin Hunter starting on the outside, we could have one of the best young WR duos in the nation and that's pretty exciting.

I'll be at the LSU-Oregon game, so I am so ready!

1st Annual Will Lyles Bowl!

Have the coaches agreed to exchange recruiting tapes yet ;-)?

AD's have come and gone, but the scheduling has stayed consistent.

At any rate, Paterno is generally blamed for keeping Pitt off the schedule (a game that fans want to see every year, but the coach/AD has refused to add)

Fans want to see lots of stupid [expletive]. What's the benefit?

I don't see why a former (and geographic) rivalry is a bad thing. Do you think Illinois vs. Missouri is "stupid [expletive]"?

Yes, Illinois and Mizzou was a microcosim of Lord Guenther's horrible non conference scheduling. We should be scheduling like Northwestern, instead Guenther gave us the hardest schedule in the conference year after year. Thank god its over.

Thanks for listing the KU game as one "of interest." I guess I'm interested to see if/how much Berglund plays.

Berglund won't be playing. He'll prob RS. Webb will be the starter with Cummings/Meachum backing him up. If Berglund had been here in Spring it might have been a different story, but I think he's too far behind. I've always thought Cummings was the better prospect anyway, assuming his knee is better.
