Is it just me or does it seem like the Twins are rushing Buxton.

That was my immediate thought as well. He was good, not great at AA(.840OPS). That's not the time of dominating I'd need to see in order to completely skip AAA.

Eh, he's top 12 in the Southern League in OPS. I'd imagine he's at least one of the 5 youngest in the league. His numbers are very competitive with everyone not named Kyle Schwarber in AA. His numbers since the start of May would put him above Dan Vogelbach in the top 4 in the league. He's not completely dominating, but he's doing everything anyone could expect from him. May still be being rushed, but I don't think he'll be embarassed in the majors.

He's OPSing .840 in AA, and the Twins starting CF is sitting at .594 The Twins are unexpectedly in contention and don't have time to dick around.

Bubba Starling hit for the cycle last night, looks like he might be figuring it out a bit. At 22, in AA he's slashing .282/.345/.455 with a 8% BB rate and 22% K rate and 6 HR.

I saw him a couple months ago and was really surprised he was ever considered a top prospect. I know he was regarded as this super athlete, but he looked really plain. Little skinny stick legs, really boring swing. I dunno, he didn't stand out to me at all.

I'll get in on this. I saw him the other night back in Gardner, he looks skinnier now than he did when he was in high school.

WHO CARES IF ATHLETES SMOKE WEED

Oh, I agree. Especially when it doesn't matter for players on the 40-man and when alcohol is so readily available.

But I find it funny because it's a Cardinals prospect and it might legitimately hurt their big league team in 2016.
