I still just can't believe such a talented team [expletive] the bed so hugely.

 

Truly an embarassment to the league, the game, their fans.

 

You can't believe it? They [expletive] the bed every year. Heck they nearly [expletive] the bed already earlier in the playoffs. It's awesome.

 

On paper they should have cleaned the floor with Boston.

 

And? That's hockey. Yeah, they almost choked against Chicago, but they didn't and they made it to a Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. Three times in the last six years, the No. 1 seed hasn't even made it out of the first round, and each of those teams (10 Washington, 09 San Jose, 06 Detroit) had at least as many points in the regular season as Vancouver did this year.

 

I don't really see what's so embarrassing about their results. In 09 they were the No. 3 and lost to No. 4 Chicago, a team which had more points in the regular season. In 10, they were No. 3 and lost to No. 2 Chicago, the team which won the Cup. This year, they go to Game 7.

 

Compare that to Washington which got swept by the No. 5 seed as a No. 1, blew a 3-1 lead to the No. 8 as a No. 1, blew a 2-0 lead to the No. 4 as a No. 2 and lost to a No. 6 as a No. 3. That's what I would call [expletive] the bed.

the twins and luongo are the most predictable trio in sports when it comes to the postseason. the sedins will be diving, luongo will be flopping around, and none of them will produce.
