if the canucks win by any score, it wil.l be pretty weird.

to be honest, they probably didn't even deserve to win that san jose series. san jose carried play most of the time. then again, the hawks didn't really deserve to sweep SJ last year.

luongo has just been so bad that its amazing he's 1 win away from a cup. it would be hard to watch luongo celebrate a title when he really doesn't deserve to. not to mention, canucks fans will always be able to say "luongo is a stanley cup winning goaltender) even though it won't mean anything at all.

its funny... before the playoffs started i didn't really feel that dislike for vancouver that i had in recent years. maybe it's because the blackhawks won the cup last year or maybe it was because i felt kind of sorry for them. now, i hate them more than i ever did. they did a good job of making me feel that way over the past month.

seeing the sedins, burrows, luongo etc hoist the cup in front of their fans will be disgusting if it happens.

I find it funny how people are talking about how Boston has finally exposed Luongo, apparently forgetting what the Blackhawks have done to him repeatedly.

I really see no upside to this final. If Vancouver wins, that kind of sucks. But if Boston wins, another Boston team has a title and those people have become America's absolute worst fans. At least when a NY team wins something, half of NY hates it.

Luongo is on the verge of becoming known as Lebrongo.

Well played.

My experience in Boston last month was for the most part a great one. The Red Sox fans were very cool and welcoming to the thouands of Cubs fans that were at Fenway and around town.

Yes, that is probably true. But that is in no way shape or form an accurate depiction about how Boston fans act on a day to day basis. First off, the vast majority of them live nowhere near Boston. Second, Cubs fans have been welcomed into just about every new AL ballpark because they are an historic and non-threatening team. Likewise, my experience in Philly last weekend was the least confrontational I've ever had. Nobody cares about the team that's 10 games under .500.

I guess I would think that the "worst fans in America" would treat everyone like [expletive].

Boston fans are not just the 35,000 who showed up to Fenway the day you were there. Their numbers have grown exponentially the past decade, and with the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and now potentially the Bruins, they have grown into the most insufferable bunch of crap talking douchebags.

Yeah that's what I was struggling with earlier but I decided it's still the best possible outcome.

If the Bruins win, the Patriots will have the longest title drought in Boston. That's sickening.

they probably thought it was cool to see the cubs play in fenway, like a novelty act.

if the cubs played there more often, they'd gradually become more hostile.

I was not only at Fenway for a couple of games, but I was all over the city for several days before the series started. Maybe I just got lucky with my experience in the city for a week.

I don't care about their fans. The idea of the names "Burrows" and "Sedin" going on the cup next to Toews and Ben Eager just ain't right.

Exactly. Yes it will suck that the only championship that I have on all my friend in Boston will be erased, but c'mon its the Canucks. Really how much more in your face and annoying can Boston fans be anyways? They will probably brag about winning every major sports championship in the last 6 years (with the Pats strangely enough with the longest Boston drought) but whatever.

daniel sedin (thelma?) says the canucks are going to win

"We're going to win Game 7," Sedin told the Vancouver Sun.

"We're 3-3 and we won all three games at home and we have the fourth game at home," he said of the series, according to the report. "So we have the seventh game at home and we'll take that. We are confident."

Compared to how the Canucks have acted and talked during this series, this is nothing.

Ben Eager? The player who would rather make a meaningless hit then be in good position because he feels like some teammate was looked at funny? Of all the Hawks players you could of picked you lost me with that one. At least the Sedins and Burrows are good hockey players.

Oh, where is your sense of humor, friend.

But let's not forget the huge wrister he roofed over Leighton or Boucher or whichever crap goalie they had in there in Game 2. Huge goal.

If the Bruins wins, Boston becomes the city with all four major sports teams winning championships in the shortest duration of time.

Yeah well, umm Chicago has had all their teams at least reach the conference finals during that time frame....all 5 teams if you want to tack on 2 more years. Cubs - 2003 (NLCS), Sox - 2005 (WS Champs), Blackhawks - 2010 (SC Champs)Bears - 2011 (NFC CG), Bulls - 2011 (ECF). If the Bulls would have beaten the Heat we could have said we've had a team in all 4 sports advance to the championship round in the last 6 years.

Game 7 for it all. Can't wait for the game tonight and it's really not because of the rooting interest I've developed over the course of the series.

Today should be a holiday, says the inner Canadian in me.

Love Boston's start. Playing much more physical than they did in Game 5.

But Vancouver just had the best chance so far.

Goal!

Man . . . please be another meltdown in the offing . . .

No kidding.

Though I don't really blame that one on Luongo.
