it should have been the best "why didn't you call a foul" faces and it would have been 42 pictures of chris paul laying on the ground with no one around him

How was Emeka Okafor not on that list? He's had a ridiculous look on his face after every foul so far in the Lakers-Hornets series.

Dwight Howard is easily the dirtiest player in the NBA.

yup, but he smiles a lot so people don't realize it. he elbows people in every game he plays, and when the magic are losing he gets frustrated and starts fouling people harder and harder for no reason

Was there smoke or something in the air during the Memphis/SA game? I didn't watch the game but some of the photos on ESPN make have kind of a haze and it looks like some of the old NBA photos from sports illustrated, like from when Bill Russell played. It looks kind of neat.

You've got a in-his-prime dwight howard on your roster and you surround him with [expletive] for years and accomplish nothing with him.

Stern has to have his guys furiously working to figure out a way to write the CBA so that Howard can wind up in New York next year.

I keep hearing he'll end up in LA

Same. I'd actually rather he end up in NYC.

hahahahaha. Seriously though, I'm a firm believer that the NBA is way more interesting when the Lakers aren't ridiculously overstocked with talent.

To the people that say clutch doesn't exist -- I present LeBron James.

Wasn't he fine at it in years past?

The fact is, he's not a great one on one scorer. Never has been. He puts up crazy stats because he's ridiculously athletic, strong, and amazing at handling the ball. He gets plenty of points. But if you isolate him and ask him to score, he's just not that good. Too bad he has it in his head that he has to be the man at the end of the game. Actually, I like it. Because the Heat would be better if they would occasionally run a real play at the end of the game, or give it to DWade, who's way better at it.

The other thing is, which I think has already been mentioned on here, is that Simmons was talking about this on his podcast somewhat recently. Lebron doesn't really have a go to move where he knows he can get a good look or you know if he gets a shot from a certain spot he will hit it a good majority of the time. As you were saying, his go to move is just to be bigger and stronger which clearly hasn't been working for him or the Heat this year.

So when Howard signs elsewhere as a free agent, the Magic will win what 6 games?

I'll take the under.

I really don't want Dwight to go to NYC or LA. How about NJ with DWill? Or NO with CP3? I'll settle for those options.

and no one on the Heat has been any good at the end of close games. As a team, they are 1 for 19 on shots with under 10 seconds left and down by 3 or less. James is the only player to make a shot.
