Without reading the discussion so far, last night confirmed my doubts about IU. Don't get me wrong, I'm pleased as hell about what they have done. That was a game they needed to win though.

 

It is a good team, but not a top 10 team, and I am totally fine with that.

All of Northwestern's losses have come to teams who will be ranked on Monday. Their start to the B1G season is brutal. They could start 1-5 and still have a chance at the tourney.

Michigan just loves getting down by double digits to inferior teams.

 

Considering their next 5 Big Ten games are against MSU, @ Purdue, @ Ohio State, vs. Indiana and @ MSU, they need to win games like Iowa.

Blowout loss for UM. They are going be on a long losing streak if they play like this. MSU and OSU are going to embarrass them.

Another big win for Iowa. I thought for sure they'd start the conference season 0-7 and now they're 3-3 and it wouldn't be a shock if they beat Purdue on Tuesday (not predicting it but it wouldn't be surprising.)

 

Even if they lose though they have a more favorable schedule the rest of the way and they could finish .500 or better in conference.

As frustrating as this season has been, they're in every game and don't have any bad losses (they lost by a ton to Baylor, but it was a great Baylor team). This would make for an excellent signature win.

NW's biggest issue is that they're not a good defensive team, so they depend a lot on the opponent making their own mistakes offensively to win games.

Yeah, that's basically how the 1-3-1 works, which they turn to in crunch time. You just need to be able to make precision passes.
