Burke is so [expletive] good.

 

He and Craft were both fairly underrated coming out of high school. [expletive], Gesell is ranked higher than both. I think he's similar to Burke, maybe a slightly better shooter and not quite as good of a distributor.

He's scared we will get a coach in here that makes us relevant again. Can't blame him.

 

did you see the Jack Lyman article on scout RE: Bruce's dismissal? Made every excuse in the book to justify Weber's performance. I'm sure BW is a nice guy, but it's weird how some people really latched on to him, especially the local writers.

The scout connection is creepy. They've turned him into some idol. You can badmouthed the school, the president, and the A.D.. But Weber is off limits.

Lunardi moved ND up from a 6 seed to a 5 after last night. This type of stuff is why our committee is so much better than he is.

I'm surprised stuff like this doesn't happen more. I really hate it when players run off the bench on the offensive end to the scorers table. My peripherals would think that's a man running open probably 70% of the time. Guess that's why I don't play basketball.

Come on, Izzo isn't defending Weber because he knows he's bad for the Illinois program. He's known him for 20 years back to when they were Big Ten assistants.

 

I don't think anyone actually thinks that. It's obvious that they're bffs and that's why he's been so vocal.

 

Also, I don't get the problem with saying "we'll address it at the end of the season". If an AD/whatever isn't actually committed to you, why would you want him to say he is? So you can be blindsided at the end of the season? So everyone can play some silly game of pretending things aren't really as they are? That's just stupid.

 

And if Bruce and/or his coaching are so fragile that being told his job status will be assessed later precipitated a total team collapse (which I don't believe for a second)...well then he should have been fired long ago. I'd rather be told my job is in jeopardy than to be mollycoddled with BS platitudes.

It's pretty clear that the refs have a blatant bias towards Kentucky and Iowa

lol now Nantz is destroying Michigan for this drubbing, openly wondering how Michigan could have won a share of the Big Ten title with a team that is clearly much less talented than Ohio State and basically saying that Michigan doesn't belong with OSU and MSU. It may or may not be true but its more blunt than I typically expect from these guys. Edited by UMFan83
