I really don't like the SEC chant, but in the case of using it as a middle finger to the Big 12, I can understand it.

On a related note, I saw this morning that Mizzou would be the first BCS school ever to win 30 games and not get a 1 seed. Should've scheduled more bad teams instead of really bad teams in the non-con I guess.

Why, what did the Big 12 do to Mizzou besides give them a home for however many years and fill their coffers? The Big 12 did a lot more for Missouri than Missouri (0 titles in any meaningful sport) did for the Big 12.

Even when Missouri wins, they embarrass themselves.

That's certainly one interpretation of the events. Another might be that Mizzou was never given equal treatment in the Big 12, scapegoated when half the conference looked elsewhere, then repeatedly and publicly disparaged when they decided to leave. It's no surprise that there's hurt feelings.

Did that Hathaway guy just say that Mizzou was their last #2?

Yeah

Missouri's RPI really killed them.

Should've scheduled Arkansas Little-Rock and Bowling Green instead of Kennesaw State and William & Mary. Thankfully they've received that message loud and clear and can avoid it next time.

Never said it was right, just that it was the only outlier among the top 8 teams.

Oh I know, it's just frustrating to see the actual deciders bring up SOS like we were a WAC school when they had similar/better records against top teams as the alternatives. Ultimately though it means little, I'm more annoyed that they got an unlucky draw with their 7 and 3 seed. Hopefully the offense can outscore Florida and they can withstand Marquette's murderball impression.

Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana were 13, 14, and 15 in the S-Curve respectively. So UM was the highest 4 seed and almost a 3 seed. I'd guess if UNC had won today, UM would be where FSU is.

Xavier is very tough and we'll probably lose, but I have nothing to complain about. Of the top 8, Duke seems like the most beatable, at least to a team like Notre Dame, so getting them in a potential 2nd game is a favor as far as I'm concerned.

Sounds like OSU had no chance at a No. 1 even if they won and that Kansas would have gotten the last No. 1 if OSU beat MSU.

Mizzou scheduled Illinois, ODU and Villanova, all on the road. Really pisses me off.

Yeah Xavier is a pretty bad draw. ND hasn't been playing well and Xavier just went to the A10 title game (although pretty disappointing performance). ND can win but I'd think Xavier is favored slightly.

ND's gas gauge is on E. Bunch of young kids not used to these minutes had their pedal to the gas for two straight months to get as far as they did. Just not enough talent to cruise in any game unfortunately. It's been the problem for a while, they always look gassed in March. I'm picking Xavier, but hopefully they surprise me.

and 2/3 of those teams sucked. The other is a good midmajor.
