anyway, both ksu and mizzou play despicable, embarrassing brands of defense. pressey basically tackled ksu's point guard once he got to half court on every possession.

 

ksu is no better. they have nobody with any offensive skill (outside of magruder occasionally) other than just tackling defenders to grab their own shooters' bricks and put them back in.

 

i have to say my favorite part about both of those teams is how when on the rare occasion they are called for a foul, they just act completely and totally shocked. i thought that fat blob steve moore was going to literally cry tears when he fouled out. instead of whining for the one time he got called for a hand check, pressey should be grateful for the 92 he got away with.

Lunardis updated bracket after tonights game still has NW among his final 4 teams in. If they can win their last 3 games somehow (at Iowa, vs. Ohio state, at penn state) they'll have a pretty good shot at 19-11 (9-9). They'd probably be 1 BTT win and in.

Hey! Only some of my rants are idiotic. Sorry i was actually at the game tonight so posting was sparse otherwise you might have gotten one. Yes believe it or not Michigan gets too 3 happy at times. Like in the last 10 minutes in the first half when they took a 3, contested or not on every possession and missed them all. It does drive me nuts when UM is struggling to score and for 3 straight possessions they do not move the ball inside the 3 point line and miss either contested 3s or 3s taken 3 steps behind the line.

 

And Tim Hardaway Jr should almost never be shooting 3s. I don't care that he hit the one to tie it at the end of regulation, he missed like 6 in a row before that, several extremely forced. In general though I like that Michigan takes a lot of 3s, I just wish they had something else to go to when the other team is defending the perimeter well or the team is ice cold. Right now it would mean Burke driving to the lane which works occasionally but teams have been adjusting lately, or sometimes dump it into Morgan which probably has a 30% chance of working.

Maybe because of the 33 cases this decade where Carmody and his band of goofy-looking racially ambiguous goons have made buzzer beaters or completely gone off against Iowa in games that either kept them out of the tournament or kept them from winning the Big Ten?

So I know everyone already assumes that Weber is done, but I heard from a guy who was a guest of Mike Thomas at the MSU game and he says that Weber has already been told that he is done after the season.

I can't fathom a time when Iowa could win the Big Ten.
