Holy [expletive] 4 games into ST it starts already. :banghead:

But in reality this is probably a non issue.

If it happened during the season it might matter a bit, but this is nothing. Probably evolved from Silva being frustrated that he isn't guaranteed a spot in the rotation. I think the most likely result of this is that Silva gets traded falong with cash in exchange for nothing or is released.

If I picked a guy to be involved in a fight with his own teammate on the Cubs, Silva would be on the top of the list from what I've heard about him.

I really hope ARam doesn't become a scapegoat, hated Cub. He's been my favorite Cubs since 03 and I already have to endure idiotic comments about him from other Cub fans.

Best case scenario: Silva gets suspended then traded. Ramirez goes on to hit .300, 30 HRs, 100 RBIs and plays strong defense.

Worst case scenario: probably whatever will happen in the next 7 months.

When I first heard that there had been a scuffle, I didn't know who it involved and was praying it wasn't Castro or some of the other younger guys. When I find out Silva was involved, I was borderline jubilant, as this can't exactly help him make the rotation, if you ask me.

As far as Aramis goes, I really, really, really hope he doesn't turn into the scapegoat this year. But, I gotta admit, I think he's going to have a very solid season and I really feel like we're going to be in the thick of things come the trade deadline anyway, with the lack of elite teams within the division.

He certainly can't begin the year any worse than he did last year.

I think the worst case scenario would be some sort of global thermonuclear war.

Or people continuing to fix posts. One of the two.

Really hoping that this means Silva has destroyed any shot he had at the rotation.

I really don't see how Aramis can get much of the blame or become a scapegoat. I think he's going to have a big year.

Never underestimate the ability of the Sullivans, Rosenthals and Kaplans of the world to scapegoat Aramis.

He's Hispanic, he hits for power and he's prone to nagging injuries. The only way he'd be more perfectly set up for the scapegoat role is if he struck out a bunch. But we can just cover up for that by saying he's "not clutch."

He hit a Carlos, not a Tyler, I think Aramis is safe for now.
