I was watching football at the time.

Geez I don't know, Arizona? Kentucky? Kansas State? Are these teams really up for protected seeds?

St. John's is my pick to be wildly overseeded by the real committee. Wouldn't be surprised to see them snag a 4.

EDIT: Also Florida.

Leaving out ND since I'm a rep, I'd go with OSU, KU, Pitt and Duke as my top 4, with BYU, Purdue, Texas and Wisconsin the next 4. After that in some order are Syracuse, SDSU, Georgetown and UNC.

Over the past five years, 20 of 20 Final Four teams lost no more than two conference home games.

So you're saying Illinois has a chance.

I'm totally and completely biased, but in the right bracket, Illinois totally has a chance. I'm also begging for a 4 St. John's-13 Belmont matchup, so that we can have the first 4-13 matchup that log5 actually favors the 13 seed outright.

Does anyone know if Blue Ribbon is doing their tournament preview this year? They've done it the last couple years, but hadn't for quite a few years before that. There wasn't the option to purchase a package that included it preseason, and it doesn't seem to be mentioned on their website. So, I assume they're not doing it (which is stupid, but whatever).

Four conference championships tonight: VCU tries to steal a bid in the CAA, Gonzaga-St. Mary's in the WCC, with the loser arguably very much in the at-large discussion, the SoCon final between Wofford and Charleston, and the Metro Atlantic final between Iona and St. Peter's.

Also a reminder to get me your 3 lists (and team) by the end of tomorrow to start the selection process.

This year, I'll also make my lists public, in case anybody had any questions as to whether I did my own (and open myself up for criticism, because I can handle it. :P ). Spoilering each list to save reading space for those who don't care.

Not much for games of interest today.

Connecticut and Villanova need to avoid nightmare losses to avoid dropping a couple seeds.

Marquette needs to beat Providence to feel confident

Milwaukee can possibly steal a bid by beating Butler.

Princeton can force a 1 game playoff vs. Harvard with a win, but I kinda doubt Harvard is being considered as a serious at-large candidate.

Auto bids up for tonight:

- Sun Belt final between what are essentially the 7 and 9 seeds. A likely 16 seed to the winner, and if UALR wins, a potential first four participant.

- Ivy bid goes to Harvard if Princeton loses, and a playoff Thursday if Princeton wins.

- Summit final between Oakland and Oral Roberts. Oakland was the third most dominating team in conference play (behind Belmont, Utah State), and a potential sleeper tournament team.

- Horizon final between Butler and Milwaukee, in Milwaukee. Milwaukee was actually the 5th best team in the Horizon league, but swept Butler to win the conference tiebreaker in a tightly packed group at the top. Butler still a potential at-large even with a loss, so bubble teams everywhere are rooting for them.

Arkansas-Little Rock wins the Sun Belt as the 9 seed.

Princeton won at Penn to force a one-game playoff Saturday against Harvard at Yale.

Milwaukee coming back against Butler, and Oral Roberts coming back against Oakland in the second half.

Probably not 2 from the Ivy League, although Harvard has a 35 RPI for some reason.

Although, if any school can think of a way to game the RPI system, it'd be Harvard.
