Darryl Stonum has been suspended for the season by Hoke for his 2nd DUI. We'll see if he decides to come back next season. Hopefully the kid can get his [expletive] together and stop driving drunk.

I'll believe it when I see it, but there are rumors out there that Texas A&M has notified the Big 12 that we are leaving the conference.

This should help speed up an otherwise slow week.

And I'll say, i don't buy the story, but when A&M and Oklahoma inevitably head elsewhere; seriously, what are the 7 loser schools going to do? Edited by SouthSideRyan

The OK powers that be have attached OU and OKSt, so the hicks in Stillwater have that going for them.

The prevailing rumor is that Mizzou/KU/KSU/ISU would become part of some sort of mutant Big East. I imagine the rest would be split amongst the SEC and Pac-12, and Baylor joins the new MWC or something.

But seriously, the aTm fans are in such a little brother rage over LHN that they're making up SECede T-shirts and believing every made up rumor that sounds like they'd go to the SEC. I wonder if they realize that reinforces the stereotype.

I think I'm more excited for the collapse of the Big 12 than I am for the expansion of the Big 10.

Agreed, can't wait to see Kansas and Mizzou rot away in obscurity along with Iowa State.

You guys are weird.

OU LB Travis Lewis broke his foot today. It sounds like he will be out 2 weeks. Hopefully he will come back in time for @FSU.

This is guaranteed to deliver actual changes at some point. Going through all the rumors and winding up with Nebraska, Utah, and Colorado switching conference? Feh.

You mean 8 weeks, right? Because that's all I've heard.

I've heard 8 weeks, but expected to be back before FSU.

Yeah, Mizzou and Kansas would definitely end up in the Big East under that scenario. I'm not sure what the league would end up doing with its basketball-only members.

I think they'd take KSU too(I forgot TCU may have taken ISU's spot) and then go with 12 in football, 20 in basketball. The geography works out for Coastal/Non-Coastal divisions in football, and it's pretty close to that in Basketball too.

The main reason we want to make this move is so that we're no longer the little brother. As long as we stay with Texas that will always be the case. The SECede shirts are over the top but if it helps get the message to our administration that we're fed up with the status quo then it's all good.

I guess you won't be little brother anymore. I'm not sure what you'll be in the SEC, though, when you're getting pounded annually by Bama, Florida, LSU, Auburn, etc. Is that really a better move for aTm?

Jesus christ. 20 team conference in basketball?

19 and whatever you call DePaul.

How would that schedule even work? I mean, two ten-team divisions and no inter-division play?

yeah i was gonna say, they'll go from "little brother" in the big xii to "not really relevant" in the sec. they're still a pretty big player in the big xii; in the sec they're just another team.
