I think Cutler has shown throughout the entire season how tough he is, by standing in there with our offensive line doing him NO favors at all. I'm fairly certain that the sportswriters will accuse him of everything possible in tomorrow's papers, but they're just stupid. There's no doubt in my mind he couldn't go. Jay doesn't have to prove his toughness to anyone, as far as I'm concerned. He's already done it all year. Get him some damn help on offense and see what he's capable of.

The trouble is those sportswriters set the tone of the discussion that will happen all offseason long and beyond.

Yes, we can and will ignore it to the best of our ability, but it's tiring and frustrating.

Exactly, he played a quarter with a concussion and we're questioning his toughness?

No one knows when the concussion happened. It was never really made official. There were two plays that people thought it occurred on. I think one was the last play of the second quarter.

And I understand that there is only one Tom Brady and Manning. I wasn't pairing Cutler into those two, but, having seen Cutler play in Denver, when he's good, he is good, but when things aren't going his way, he mentally checks out. His toughness has been called into question before. Honestly, I don't know how serious his knee is, but this is the NFC Championship game, and Cutler was standing around with that knee. Looked fine to me.

Put on a brace and get back on the field. *shrug*

Either way, good season for you guys. At least you guys lasted longer than my Chiefs could.

The thing is, he did come back into the game. He was going to be pulled at half time and came in for the first drive and then left. What does that say?

I don't know, and I can't answer that question. I'm just purely spectulating here. It could be that the knee was very seriously injured. Or maybe it could be that Cutler didn't want to play. I don't know.

Stop making crap up just to get arguments going. Not a good time. The schtick is already old, but it's really tired and annoying today.

That's BS, no offense but it is. You just directly compared Jay Cutler to Jeff George in the worst possible way.

You're not speculating. You're casting aspersions.

I'm not making anything up OK. The Bears and Lovie Smith were tight-lipped with it. I think Cutler is a competitor. At the time I didn't think he was hurt. I was wrong about that. But the point stands is that we don't know when it happened against the Giants.

Bukie and Soul are saying it better than I can.

Yeah, you're right. It will be tiresome. And what makes it worse is most fans are pretty stupid and some will even buy into what the writer's are saying. I had a friend call me the other day and tell me that Cowherd said if the Bears beat the Packers, they'd be the worst team in history to make the Super Bowl. My response to him was "Why in the hell are you listening to the dumbass?" Cowherd and writers as well are paid to generate readers and listeners, so whether we like it or not, we're going to hear a ton about Cutler this offseason. Because it'll create response, if nothing else, because of the stupidity of fans in general. Hell, they(writers and broadcasters) probably don't even believe half of what they're saying anyway. So why should we?

Collins had a better rating than Cutler

You're dumb and easily the worst poster on this forum.

Because I state facts? I don't get why you are so pissed off. It was just an odd stat.

None taken. The reason why I'm comparing Cutler to George is because both of them had excellent physical talent. Their toughness and leadership abilities are being questioned.

With that being said, I'm done with this issue. Good luck with Cutler is all I'm going to say.

We're all missing the point here

What we should be talking about is how incredible it is that Todd Collins got paid 1 million dollars to be by far the worst quarterback I've ever seen play football. This includes Henry Burris, Chad Hutchinson and Jonathon Quinn

I just picked your most recent shitty post, since you've made so many [expletive] ones in the past half hour.

Can someone help me understand the concussion thing with Cutler? Concussions are pretty pass/fail in terms of playing, so if he had a concussion I don't think he would've attempted playing again before leaving. Also, if the concussion was why he was pulled, then why the time on the bike? And if the concussion isn't why he left the game, then why does it matter?
