Boozer looks like he will play and start Wednesday. He went through a full practice and feels good. It is Boozer's ultimate decision on whether or not to play though.

i hope he waits another week or so

Normally I'd agree, but we are playing the Magic, Celtics, Thunder and Lakers over the next 10 days or so. But then again, the Bulls might have difficulty adjusting to Boozer's presence in the lineup. IIRC, he was injured just a few days into training camp, so he's maybe had only 4 practices with the Bulls including today's. I'm sure he knows the playbook pretty well and I'm sure he's paid careful attention of the Bulls play during the first month but its a completely different game when they come out and actually play with him.

i remember how surprised i was when stern decided that playoff seedings would be dependent on espn's power rankings

?

He's saying that their power rankings have no meaning at all.

I understand that. It's just that....well everyone knows that. Doesn't mean they aren't fun for other people do discuss as a measure of the mainstream media's impression of a team.

Shows you how freaking good MJ was. In '97-'98 he was a shell of his former self.

He also did that without Pippen, so I'd imagine the assist numbers especially would be higher, if Pip had played.

I remember at the time being mad at their start. Even though Pippen was out. Guess that's what happens after 72-10 and 69-13.

I wouldn't be surprised if this team actually struggles a bit when Boozer comes into the lineup, seeing as he brings an offensive game that is unlike anything else on our roster, and it may take some growing pains to work him in.

Of course I wouldn't be surprised if they come out and flat out dominate with him, either. Its just too bad we don't get any cupcakes to lay waste to and work out kinks on for another 2 weeks.

It's Joakim Noah bobblehead night on Wednesday. "Clearly, when you have a bobblehead, you've made it," Noah deadpanned.

I was offered tickets for tonight, but then found out I'd have to get a Noah bobblehead, so I declined.

You'd have to get there at like 5:30 when the gates open, or so I've read from previous experiences.

His rebounding and ability to draw attention from other defenders should immediately help us, regardless of whether he can score. Hopefully, he'll realize that he needs some time to work himself into the offense and pick his spots.

Yeah there will definitely be some growing pains trying to adjust a dominating post presence into the lineup. Like all players, he has his tendencies, spots on the floor he likes the ball, etc. But I'm pretty sure Rose can run a fluid pick and roll. They should dominate from the start with that. I'm pretty sure the team will know to dump it into him if they are going through a scoring drought and see a smaller player switched onto him defensively. They will be able to immediately exploit that mismatch. Stuff like that will be fluid and should see an immediate bump. But yeah, they won't be perfectly fluid with him on the court for a little while. The biggest thing is that he hasn't even played in really any scrimage or preseason game with Boozer either. He was hurt 2-3 practices into training camp so its almost like we are almost making an in season trade for him.

As much as the injury sucked, it will be cool that the first time I'll see him play in a Bulls uniform is not in a meaningless preseason game but right in the middle of the regular season most likely against a key opponent.

Sam Smith' suggesting the Bulls take a shot at Howard tonight, I've heard people say Howard' a dirty player. His cheap shots on Rose would seem to suggest so but, not having seen enough I wouldn't know if he's really a cheap shot artist.

Howard is such a big, physical guy that I wouldn't be surprised that a lot of contact that he makes is considered flagrant despite no intention. He's just so big making contact with him is different than making contact with someone like Tyson Chandler. I remember Shaq used to get the same complaints.
