That, and that my earlier opinion that the East is wide open for the taking because of the Heat's slow start was wildly incorrect. It's going to be Boston barring some sort of natural disaster or malaria outbreak. They actually turned it on for about 10 minutes of the game and still won easily.

I don't know. I think we match up pretty well with them. We took them to OT earlier in the year already. That epic series the two teams had a couple years ago showed how close the two teams were at that point. They have KG back now and we've added Boozer, got a real head coach, and our best player has improved since then (and we've lost a few complimentary players). I'm not saying we'll beat them in a 7 game series, but I wouldn't just give them a free ride to the Finals either. Just give it a few months and see how this team looks with Boozer fully healthy and integrated into the gameplan. It's pretty obvious that Boozer coming back is throwing everything off right now. And to be honest, I think I'm more worried about Orlando. I think they'll have a tough time beating Boston, but I don't like our matchup with them at all.

I personally have never thought we matched up well with Boston at all. And especially now that they have the size that they have. They can really man handle us down low. I have been surprised the times we've played competitive or even beat them but I think overall they just have a different level that we can't touch. Defensively there's no one better. The reason we matched up well with Boston in that playoff series is because Garnett is the key to that defense. Without him their D is much less imposing. The times we played Boston before that playoff series and with Garnett I believe we were blown out every single time (6 or so games).

I think we match up even worse with Orlando, but Boston is right there too.

The main takeaway I have from this game tonight is that Derrick Rose has definitely taken the torch from Kirk Hinrich as the guy in the NBA with the most ridiculous amount of blatant fouls against him that simply aren't called by the officials.

The stars always get the calls. If the refs are really missing calls like you think, it won't belong before Rose gets them.

Orlando's still a worse matchup for us than Boston, I think. Howard always manhandles us and we don't match up well with their shooters on the perimeter.

That said, we still have a ways to go if we legitimately want to compete with those two teams for the conference.

Really unfortunate that they both happened to be Bulls

Has Rondo climbed off Rose's back yet?

Anyone want Bulls tickets for tonights game against the Rockets for free? The friend who was supposed to buy them from me had a family emergency and won't be able to go. I have finals to study for so can't attend either. I live by UIC (less than 2 miles from the UC) so you can pick them up on your way. I'd rather they not go to waste. Text me at 773-988-0175 if you want them.

If we are lucky we'll win this, split against OKC and LA, feast on the weak part of the schedule and resemble something like a rounded out team by the end of it. A real SG would be nice too.

The way I see it is this is a second round and out playoff team right now. I think we'll do really well against the weaker teams and struggle like hell against the good team (kind of like the season has went so far).

???

before the last 2 games, the bulls have played great against good teams. if we didn't beat them, we hung with them until the very end.

In order to get past the second round they would have to beat Orlando, Boston or Miami most likely and just keeping the game close against good teams doesn't tell me that they can beat those teams in a 7 game series.
