Unless something historically awful were to happen, like a 2-win season next year or something, he will get at least 3 years. But he has lost much of the fan base, including me, completely in the last 8 days.

There's no way to know how many years Kelly will get at this point. How much deeper down the rabbit hole will UM go with Rich Rod before pulling that plug?

I'll admit that Nebraska's defensive line dominated, but there were times when Gabbert was running out of the pocket before he even considered a second option. If the Huskers' secondary was so good that the receivers couldn't get open, then that's probably a good time to open up the screens.

 

Doesn't matter, though. You can't allow 300 yards rushing to one player and expect to win. I don't think Steckel deserves the brunt of it, though. This wasn't the Eberflus Defense where you allow receivers to jet 10 yards downfield before covering them, it was just laziness.

Iowa State would actually win the Big 12 North if they won out. Won't happen but it's a little weird if you think about it.

Yeah, the scary thing is we had less talent than usual today. We started our 3rd string QB who'd yet to take a meaningful snap. And our best playmaker (which for us means he can run over seven yards without getting winded) was suspended.

 

I was proud of them for their effort today. ISU should have blown them out. (They were clearly still celebrating their win over Texas during the first half.) But we actually made it interesting. I really hope we can get a talent infusion and a new S&C regime, though, or things will only get worse.
