Bhahaha. All ND had to do was run the ball a couple times and then kick a FG. The ND kicker has made 18 straight FG's for an ND record. Kelly calls a pass and the freshman QB throws up a duck for an interception in the endzone. Tulsa wins. Haha.

Definitely another low point for ND but not a shock. They had a mediocre team from last year and lost 2 of their 3 best players. They had good skill players remaining which would have kept them in games even without much of a defense but they've gotten hit hard with injuries. Their backups are decent but when you're decent at the skill positions and bad almost everywhere else the team is going to struggle.

I'm trying to figure out who the coaches for Iowa are today. Both the timeouts at the end of the half win seconds left and the reverse pass attempt are definitely not characteristics of an Iowa coached team.

ND is losing to teams whose starters wouldn't even backups for them.

Where did this rage come from between Iowa and MSU fans? I love it.

I love it too. Feel weird rooting for Iowa but I'm enjoying this.

Hawkeye is just being self righteous....must still be tender from helping the rape cover up.

I kind of thought we would lose coming into this game, but not like this...oh well

I'm not sure about that. They really haven't played a bottom of the barrel team yet this season. Tulsa's below average and definitely not a team that ND should ever lose to but they're not one of the worst 25 teams in Division 1-A. In fact, ND and Tulsa were only 9 places apart on Sagarin's predictor entering today (ND 47, Tulsa 56). Throw in Crist's injury and it's not surprising they could lose a close game to them.

And Tulsa definitely had some playmakers on offense that could play for anybody.

I'm sorry - how does a QB sustain a season ending, career-threatening knee injury on a [expletive] hit to the shoulder? I was sure he sustained a concussion on that shot. but blow out your knee? seriously?

Just for the record, no good ND coach has ever lost to Navy, let alone been blitzed by a team that got crushed by [expletive] Duke the next week, and whatever anyone can say about Kelly, at least he doesn't learn from his mistakes. Once again, he stupidly chucks it to the end zone with the backup QB when 3 points is all but assured, just like he did against Michigan. Then he spent the press conference claiming that Tulsa's coach was wrong about the defense that Tulsa's coach said Tulsa was running on the pass to Floyd (Kelly said they had a 1 on 1 matchup when they obviously did not).

I'm not sure if he was always this stupid, but I'm sick of the man. I don't care how many injuries you have, you don't get annihilated by [expletive] Navy, and you don't lose to [expletive] Tulsa.

And now that I've gotten all that off my chest, I like Tommy Rees too. I think he looked very good at times today and definitely has a future.

How many years will Notre Dame give Kelly?

Unless something historically awful were to happen, like a 2-win season next year or something, he will get at least 3 years. But he has lost much of the fan base, including me, completely in the last 8 days.
