Are you making that up?

Me? I just heard it on CNBC. Darren Rovell was reporting.

Lebron Greenwich has 1 million google hits, and 163 google news hits. The top one is saying newsday made the initial report.

It's according to Newsday...so maybe

They also mentioned it on Outside The Lines 15ish minutes ago. They may have referenced the Newsday report as their source though, I can't remember.

Hahahah wow, the Bulls walk away with nothing as Lebron chooses to play in NY. That hurts.

If it's the Knicks and he has any desire to win, it'll hurt him too.

A relevant Knicks team is awesome for the game. They have the best pure basketball in-game experience (not talking about the on-court product) in terms of none of the typical stadium nonsense.

I'm happy for Knicks fans.

Get ready for insufferable NY blanket coverage in basketball for the next 10 years.

It's gonna be pretty intense coverage for a 44 win team next year.

This is probably the only team I wanted to get Lebron less than the Bulls (Though I'm still not sold he's not staying in Cleveland)

It certainly doesn't look good now for the Bulls, but I don't think Greenwich means NY/NJ is a forgone conclusion.

If it is Greenwich, then I don't see why it would mean anything else. Unless it's a big mind game I guess.

The Knicks aren't as good as the Bulls, but they have the means to be better than Cleveland.

What does that mean? Going to a Knicks game is like going to a circus. It's for watching the crowd as much as watching the game, and they are all about the non-basketball product. What is "pure basketball" about it?

I'd guess much better than 44 wins. But what do I know.

Full disclosure, I've never been to MSG. I'm just regurgitating what other people such as Bill Simmons and Ric Bucher say. If you've been and you're saying it's full of t shirt guns and mascots and cheer leaders and a screaming emcee, then I'll take your word for it.

Just fyi, Jay Z lives in Greenwich.

They can be a 50 win team and then get it handed to them by the Magic and Heat in the ECF.

The Knicks City Dancers are the biggest highlight, followed by whatever weird halftime show they have. And the emcee overemphasizes every syllable, just like all the rest. The Garden is a pretty crappy arena that has less modern technology than most, but it's supposedly getting a major overhaul to be even more like all the rest.

Also, people go to see people (stars) who are going to see the Knicks. I've been to games in Philly (Spectrum), Detroit (Dome and Pallace), and NYC and I don't think think there is a real difference, but I'm not a NBA fan either.

I don't really get the attraction of the Knicks, it's not like they have a storied past, Willis Reed's broken foot or whatever excluded.

The only thing I can think is the proximity to ESPN.

Madison Square Garden is 23 miles from Greenwich. Bristol, ESPN headquarters, is 53 miles from Greenwich.

It is, much more than Yankees game, all about "the scene". Slutty looking women walk around all game long trying to get attention, or maybe clients. I know very little about the nuances of basketball, but, unlike going to a hockey game, I don't think that is a fact that is ever in danger being exposed at a Knicks game.

Distance and time are two different things. The last mile into NYC will take you as long as the drive to Bristol. Of course, they could always head to the chopper.
