First of all we don't know how firm the agreement is, probably not at all until they make the pick for the Wizards. Secondly, if they get a chance to make the team better I think it would be worth ruffling some feathers. Not like the Wizards would be any worse off than they were before the supposed agreement.

First: WE don't know what the deal, but GarPax do (I know duh right), and I pretty sure the deal is as firm as it can be right now. If the Bulls did not want this deal would not have made this deal.

Second: The Bulls have been shopping Hinrich around the league for nearly 2 year, so I you can guess that this deal is prolly the best deal they could get, and they took it.

I really don't see a better deal coming around for Hinrich.

Well at this point, this WAS the best deal the Bulls could get for Hinrich because their main intention in trading him was to rid themselves of his salary. And with this trade, they got rid of 100% of his salary. Great deal for the Bulls.

You back out on a deal, you lose the ability to ever make a handshake deal ever again. Not worth it.

Can you have an official handshake deal? If the pick is traded, doesn't Washington have to take on Hinrich?

If it precludes you from getting rid of Deng's salary then it's a net negative. But that Clippers rumor sounds like a big joke so I'm still happy with it.

Meh. This isn't third grade. Teams will do what is in their best interest.

Didn't a similar thing happen with Golden State and Amare a year ago?

I remember something like that.

It'd be such a kick in the balls after all these years and we still couldn't trade Kirk. The thing is is that it's a horrible deal for the Wizards and maybe they'll come to their senses and back out.

Also I'm a bit concerned that we got a foreigner that we can stash in Europe for a few years (and thus, not pay him) means the Hinrich deal will fall through...on the other hand he's definitely not a need pick for us so maybe things are still going down.

how does Hinrich make sense for the Wizards, though? (unless Arenas just isn't coming back)

Orlando and Washington have been talking about a Arenas for Carter trade, so maybe the Hinrich deal is a precursor to that deal

I don't think Washington will back out. Everything I read suggest that Grunfield has long-coveted Hinrich and thus I really don't think Grunfield will back out of this deal.

I don't think so either.

It's just that the trade isn't going down immediately and the idea of trading Hinrich and dumping his entire salary sounds too good to be true so I'm going to go in sulley mode on this one.

The Kings will swoop in if the deal falls through. Either way the Bulls are looking super.

You forgot the green font, cause a couple of sources have already stated that Sacremento has no interests in Hinrich.

I really hope we get Carlos Boozer and Joe Johnson and we get the biggest blue balls of all time

would be a huge disappointment, but the bulls would still be pretty good

For that very reason, teams don't back out on moves like this. You destroy your reputation and look like a scumbag to the entire league.

WTF?

As the Bulls and Heat continue dumping salary, each team seems to be dancing to the tune of William Wesley, a close advisor to James. Wesley is telling people that James will leave Cleveland for Chicago and bring Chris Bosh with him.

"He's up out of there," Wesley said about Cleveland.

"We're going to Chicago and Chris Bosh is coming too," said Wesley.
