Mizzou has shot 6 more free throws than their opponents in 3 home conference games. In just under 4 road conference games, they have shot 54 fewer free throws.

 

That's a pretty big discrepancy, but I have to think that has a lot to do with their style of play, especially when they get behind and start pressing more aggressively.

 

They don't really change the urgency of the press based on the deficit. What's happened is that both teams go to the basket early, the home team gets the call at both ends, and so both teams are forced to adjust in a way that's advantageous to the home team. Their two close road games have resulted in a -44 free throw disparity, it's probably cost them at least 1 of those games.

Anyone have any idea how I can watch the Illini/NU game on Saturday? I'm sure here in AZ we'll get the pleasure of seeing St Johns/UCLA. Stupid regional coverage.

 

If it's a regional CBS game and out of your market, DirecTV will have it on 729 or 730.

Michigan State just isn't that great but man did Iowa need a win like that. A win like this could get some people excited. Just to see Iowa with 20 points more than a team like Michigan State, who has been good recently is exciting. God, I hope its the beginning of something good with this program.

 

Yeah that was awesome. Just wish it hadn't been on the night after the storm so we could have had a bigger crowd, it was pretty energetic with the people who were there.

 

They played poorly but we played really good defense, best of the year easily. Offense was crisp. Cartwright still makes some awful decisions but he's averaging 9 assists to 2 turnovers in the last 3 games.

Just checked and it's on 729. You need to either have the SportsPack or Premier package to receive it though.
