Glad the Saints won. Unbelievable to see that pick-six happened. Not many things have shocked me more in my time as a sports fan, considering how dynamite Peyton had been playing the last nearly-two games before that.

Great new show following the Super Bowl. It isn't even in high definition and widescreen.
Vance will undoubtedly be interested in next week's episode, since it features the CEO of Hooters.

I at least take some joy in Brees having a baby that's ugly as [expletive].

All tonight's game does for me is make me want next football season to start tomorrow. I want to get the bad taste that was the Bear's season out of my mouth and see how much better (if at all) they do this upcoming season.

Don't worry, the bad taste of the Cubs season is forthcoming.

I wanted the Colts to win but I also wanted them to pound the Saints for my own sanity. Then I could try to convince myself that while the last two weeks would have been much better, it still would have sucked to have gotten killed in the Super Bowl.

Then I see how awful the Colts defense was last night and how poor they're tackling was. The Vikings offense would have had a [expletive] field day. I hate life again. That was the most miserable I've ever been watching the Super Bowl.

great game last night...i was raised to the love the Colts (father from Indianapolis), and I've grown to love the Saints in the 12.5 years of living in close proximity to them. I was happy to see New Orleans get the victory. Drew Brees has been amazing in New Orleans....I'm wondering whether they will let Reggie Bush sign with another team. I'm sure they'd like to keep him if the price is right, but I don't really think they have to keep him to contend again next year. He's definitely replaceable. Reggie's current contract stipulates that he gets a $500,000 bonus for the Super Bowl victory, btw.

This Super Bowl is the most-watched TV show in history, surpassing the series finale of M*A*S*H. This is based on the number of people watching, not the percentage of televisions tuned to the game, so it may be a bit misleading since there are more televisions now than back then.

And a hell of a lot more entertainment options now than back then, so misleading isn't particularly accurate.

It wasn't a great game, but I enjoyed it.

Hmmm....OK maybe it's not at the very top, but I thought it was a very good game.

Whut?

Where have I ever even implied that I "hate Republicans?"

The parade is absolutely ridiculous. People are backed up 50 feet shoulder to shoulder for 2 miles. They may start rioting. I left to watch the Purdue game but the crowd was starting to jump on cars and cause lots of damage. I am almost certain there are more than 400,000 people at the parade which is larger than the actual population of the city.

The SuperBowl edition of Inside the NFL on showtime was pretty sweet. Payton was debating the onside kick after they made it 10-3 and even before the game he had a private conversation with the refs dicussing the onside kick and how it was going to happen so the refs would be on the lookout. Some other good stuff with players miked. NFL films is awesome.

Brees was on Oprah and she thought his birthmark was lipstick and tried to wipe it off. For some reason my iPhone won't let me copy the link to the video, but it is easy to find. But you knew someone sooner or later would do that accidentally.
