I took Cary Harris in round 2 when he didn't go until the 183rd pick and has done nothing, took Pat White in round 3 when he was really picked in round 2, and made a homer pick of Robert Brewster in round 4, who probably would've been a contributor for Dallas if not for a season-ending injury before the season even began. So I'll give myself a 2/3. Once again I will be without a 1st round pick because we just love Everette Brown.

Ha. I tried to convince Jame to take Brown with out pick in the first round but he overruled me and took Stafford. I also said Maclin would be my second choice. We then both wanted English in the 2nd round and got him. After that we agreed on Asher Allen in the 3rd round and Andre Brown in the 4th round.

I would say it was C effort in retrospect.

Hah. Yeah, my ideal draft was Orakpo in the first and Will Beatty or Britton in the second. Too bad.

And sorry about calling the Niners first. Blame the Texas/Bama game for being compelling enough to comment right around the time dew decided to solicit drafters. We could just use the same system as last year. That seemed pretty fair.

My goal last year was to get Mark Sanchez and Shonn Greene for the Jets. Unlike them I didn't have to trade up to get the QB, but I waited too long on Greene thinking he'd be there in the 3rd, where he actually did go to the Jets, but was taken a few picks sooner here. I think I took a receiver in the 2nd, which the Jets could probably use this year.

I wasn't really around for the '09 draft, but for the '08 draft...

I had two teams:

Buffalo and KC:

With KC I selected

Sedrick Ellis and Carl Nicks (I should've drafted for NO)

Ellis has the potential to still be very good, but has been hit with injuries and hasn't lived up to the billing.

Nicks is an outstanding G and one of the best in the league.

With Buffalo:

Leodis McKelvin- been a 1st bust, was hurt this year but hasn't beena very good coverage DB and while a good returner is more known for his goof against NE which cost them the game.

Limas Sweed- 7 catches in two years with Pitt basically says it all.

1 very good pick, 1 decent pick, 1 bad pick and 1 very bad pick.

i think soccer10k should be required to draft as if he's al davis; i.e., pick a guy who runs fast and can bench press a house, but doesn't play football well.

Just tell me who the fastest WR and CB were from the combine and I'll take the one rated lower in the first round. Then give me the OL or DL with the most bench reps and he'll go in the second round. Tebow can wait until the third.

Do you really think Al Davis will pass on Tebow twice? The Jags might take him in the first or second round. Davis might just trade up to the first pick to get Tebow.

2008:

Selected OL Ryan Clady 4th overall when he actually went 12th. He was third in ROY, is a Pro Bowler this year and has started all 32 games of his career. The Raiders actually selected Darren McFadden.

2009:

Selected WR Michael Crabtree 7th overall when he went 10th because the Raiders are idiots. Finished with 48 catches for 625 yards despite missing five games, which projects to 70 catches for 852 yards. Jeremy Maclin (my second choice) had 55 catches for 762 yards.

Selected OL Jamon Meredeth 40th overall when he went 162nd (slight overdraft). He played in eight games and started four for the Bills this year.

Selected CB Mike Mickens 71st overall when he went 227th (another slight overdraft). Was drafted by the Cowboys, was also on the Bucs and is now on the Bengals as a practice squad player.

Selected OL Louis Vazquez 108th overall when he went 78th. He started 14 games for the Chargers this year. I'm surprised the Raiders didn't take him since he did the most bench press reps at the combine.

Raiders actually picked Darrius Heyward-Bey, Michael Mitchell at No. 47 (traded down), Matt Shaughnessy, Louis Murphy at No. 124 (traded down) and Slade Norris (trade). I had some help on the second through fourth round picks last year but I'd say I did a bit better than the Raiders did.

I wasn't sure how highly Tebow was rated. Maybe the Raiders will trade Zach Miller and Kirk Morrison and a couple draft picks to get it done. Last time I checked, neither of those guys ran 4.3 40's so they're obviously not that valuable.

Sounds good to me as long as it doesn't result in taking a QB in the first again :P

That's fine with me, as long as someone takes Clausen before we pick. :D One of those first rounders is going to be the bpa, though...

The Redskins have just been selected. Here are the teams still remaining ownerless:

Dolphins

Bills

Steelers

Jaguars

Giants

Buccaneers

Cardinals

If anybody has claimed one of these teams and I missed it, let know.

i can take another team if nobody else is interested. steelers would be good since i live in a pittsburgh market and know that team pretty well.

We've still got plenty of time until the combine, so I'd prefer to wait until closer to it before we start doubling up on teams. If we need to, though, you can have the Steelers.
