Alright, year 3 of this. It's been productive in the past and seems like a popular idea still. So here we go. We'll start the actual mock draft after the combine since we'll know much more about the prospects after that. Until then, posters will have a chance to divy up teams. I want to have a different poster heading up each team. We'll probably shoot for 4 rounds, interest really waned after that last year.

Basically, the premise is this:

1. We'll need at least one person for each of the 30 teams.

2.The first person will be the person of record for that team, but it might be fun to have a bit of a "war room" type of activity. We'll limit War Rooms to five per team.

3. War Rooms participants should share IM names and might want to form a private chat room to discuss their selections. It is recommended that War Rooms take a vote on picks after the discussion and allow the person of record make the pick. If a consensus cannot be reached, the first person to sign up for each team will make the final decision.

(Idea and wording courtesy of vance_the_cubs_fan)

4. Picks will be made in real-time, with a set amount of time between picks. After that time ends, a pick will be made for that team - much like the actual draft itself. Each slot will have 24 hours to make a pick.

Posters can double and triple up if there's a need - I'd like to have more than one for most, if not all, the teams out there. We've still got plenty of time to get this thing going, though we should start pretty promptly after the combine ends. If anybody has any suggestions, post in this thread or you can PM me.

If you want to take one of the teams, post it in here or PM me and I'll update the list.

I will do the seahawks again!

Better get in Pete Carroll's head. :D

Trade the rights to all 2010 and 2011 picks for the first pick in 2012 to select Matt Barkley?

I'll take the Chargers unless there's a fan of the team here (in which case I will defer to them). I would also like to help bukie with the Bears.

I'm the only Vikings fan here and have spent way too many hours looking at mock draft's over the last 10 years.

I'm assuming that's a volunteering for the head of the Vikings war room.

Though I recall that Post Count Padder has been a Viking/Titan fan, though he's been rather silent about it this season.

reggiemiller: You're in the war room with mul21 for the Rams.

WrigleyField: I believe there are no other Raven fans on the board, so they're all yours.

Cool, I'm also willing to fill in any spots that may need to be filled as long as taking on multiple teams is ok.

my picks last year:

#20: eben britton (went #39 overall; started at tackle for jacksonville, no idea whether he was good or bad)

#28: beanie wells (went #31 overall; developing into a good player for arizona)

#52: jarron gilbert (went #68 overall; apparently didn't do anything for the bears this year)

#85: cornelius ingram (went #153 overall by the eagles; blew out his knee (again) in training camp)

#121: jonathan casillas (undrafted; signed by saints)

looks like i overdrafted everyone.

PCP and I were way off on four of our five picks.

1st rd: Evander "Ziggy" Hood - actual: pick #32. We hit on this one really well. Titans pick was 30, so we overdrafted by 2.

2nd rd: Marcus Freeman - actual: pick #154. Ouch. Two rounds overdrafted. He didn't even play this year for the Bears.

3rd rd: Jonathan Luigs - actual: pick #106. A little better here, but I don't believe Luigs played much this year.

4th rd: Demetrius Byrd - actual: pick #224. Way off again, but I believe this pick came before his accident.

4th rd: Captain Munnerlyn - actual: pick #216. Another vast overdraft, but to our credit Munnerlyn played more and better than a 7th rd pick.

Hopefully I'll do better this season.

I'd prefer not to have multiple people leading teams, though if you want to join another war room, that'd be fine.

I'm second in command of the 49ers because jame came out of his hole to post before me :P

I took Cary Harris in round 2 when he didn't go until the 183rd pick and has done nothing, took Pat White in round 3 when he was really picked in round 2, and made a homer pick of Robert Brewster in round 4, who probably would've been a contributor for Dallas if not for a season-ending injury before the season even began. So I'll give myself a 2/3. Once again I will be without a 1st round pick because we just love Everette Brown.

This is a good point that I forgot. Have at another team then, if you like. :-)

10 teams left and I know we have fans of the Dolphins, Steelers, Packers and Cardinals roaming about on the board. I also think TT is a Bucs fan and Skyballer a Giants fan, but I'm not sure.
