Whatever.

You make it seem like common knowledge so I'm sure it'll come out one way or another. I just don't expect Plaschke to run with it. If you want unsubstantiated gossip and petulant douchery run in the LA Times you send it to TJ Simers.

Honestly, I don't know that I expect Plaschke to run with it, either. However, there is a movement that could be somewhat Tiger Woods-ish if some girls (and yes, there are multiple) decide to come forward. There are also some legal documents that could be provided. Will they? I don't know. Even if they are, will they matter? Again, I don't know. I do know that there are some embarrassing details that are out there to be shared, and there might be some incriminating ones, as well.

Some people are willing to turn a blind eye to your indiscretions when you coach their team. When you screw that team over, though, those same people are the ones who want to get you the worst.

Personally, I feel that it's just best to let sleeping dogs lie. All that would come about if everything were uncovered would be a little humiliation (and maybe a divorce, though I sincerely doubt it..). So, let Lane either keep his nose clean and do his job, or screw up and let the NCAA deal with it. But, I'm not the one with the documents, so it doesn't really matter what I would do or think should happen.

Three Duke freshman were kicked off the team after "felonious possession and discharge of a weapon."

The players were a Rivals 4-star DT, a 3-star DE, and a 2-star RB.

They were firing the gun in the air. Apparently there was a fire drill the night that happened so a lot of people were out and about on Duke's East Campus. Completely unacceptable.

Sorry if this is a repost.

The fall of ND football, in pictures:

The best part of that series is just how doochey Matthew Stafford is.

Wait a second, you made a comment about that Matthew Stafford picture without mentioning the girl to his right?

Those are all very nice looking young ladies. But this is the internet age. The standard for "omg...look at her!!!" is pretty freaking high.

Top Rivals running back, Marcus Lattimore, has eliminated Oregon and Penn State from consideration. He says he will now pick between two schools, South Carolina and Auburn.

I don't know if Chizik is threatening their momma's or something, but Auburn's recruiting class this year is reallllly good. He'd be dumb to pick to Auburn though, they already have Michael Dyer committed, the no.3 ranked RB in the country. Although I guess the two stud system as worked in the past at Auburn with Ronnie Brown and Cadillac.

They are putting together a very respectable class. I think Dyer and Lattimore could coexist. From what I've read, they have different running styles, and Lattimore is the more physical running back.

Chris Low's SEC players of the decade

1. Tim Tebow, QB, Florida:

2. Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU:

3. Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas:

4. David Pollack, DE, Georgia:

5. Patrick Willis, LB, Ole Miss:

6. Eric Berry, S, Tennessee:

7. Eli Manning, QB, Ole Miss:

8. Percy Harvin, RB/WR, Florida:

9. Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama:

10. Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama:

Pretty good list I think.

Premature on Ingram I think. I'd have probably gone with Knowshon Moreno over Ingram.

If nothing else, Dooley has impressed me with his staff hires.

Last night he hired Charlie Baggett, an NFL coach who was the WR coach for some of the best years for Webster Slaughter, Randy Moss, Cris Carter, Antonio Freeman, Plaxico Burress, Andre Rison, Derrick Mason and others. Everywhere he's been he's either put players in the NFL or put players in the Pro Bowl.

Then today, Dooley brings in Kevin Steele as the new DC. Fantastic hire of another guy with ties to Saban (as do most of our coaches). Add on the hiring of Texas Tech special teams coach Eric Russell and this is shaping up to be a comparable staff to the one Lane Kiffin had here. I've heard a rumor that UGA offensive line coach Stacy Searles might be a possibility (that'd be a humongous coup), but it sounds like a longshot.

Moreno: 2734 yards 30 TDs; 645 rec. yards, 2 rec. tds.

Ingram: 2386 yards 29 TDs; 388 rec yards, 3 rec. tds.

On the surface I would agree with you, but when you consider that Moreno left after two productive years at GA (he was red-shirted), and Ingram still has another year in college, plus his Hesiman, and you can see why he picked Ingram over Moreno. And that is with Moreno being the full-time starter and Ingram sharing his carries.

Ingram's next season won't be played in the aughts. So there ya go.

You got me on that one. With that said, Ingram has put up similar numbers to Moreno. So I could see Low going with either player, to be honest.

Steele stays at Clemson. Crap.

Not over yet. He may stay. But don't count anything out in this odd coaching search.

I heard he decided to stay. Hopefully he decides to come here.

If not Steele, who are we looking at? If we're looking at Saban disciples, then I'd guess we'd take a run at Susnari or Smart (yeah right). Otherwise, do we have a chance/interest in Rodney Garner?

Unless I am mistaken, there is no proof that Steele has said anything yet. There are reports, but nothing quoting Steele either way. May not mean anyting, but I'll wait until I hear Steele saying one way or another what he's going to do before I worry too much.

There is a chance that Garner ends up at UT, but I don't think it's as the DC. The same high school coach who was telling me about Smart to UGA is telling me that he believes Garner to UT is all but done. TIFWIW.

I think it's Lance Thompson's job to lose if Steele turns it down.

Garner would be terrific whether or not we get Steele. Not sure we'll have room for him with Steele, though. And I'd be fine with Thompson as DC. Steele would probably be a better option simply because he has previous experience as a DC and that he'd add yet another terrific coach to the staff, but I think Thompson is well qualified to be a DC.

Rick Stockstill has turned down East Carolina's offer and will remain at Middle Tennessee.

Stockstill's a really good coach. He should get a major job before too long if he can keep up what he's building at MTSU.

Also, former UT OC Dave Clawson has been rumored for the ECU opening now. He did really well as the head man at Bowling Green this year.

Another rumored candidate is the current head coach at Liberty (I forget his name).

Danny Rocco is the name. I know nothing of him, but that seems like a huge jump down in levels going from Stockstill/Clawson to Liberty.
