I've been seeing these stats thrown around on a couple of sites. I'm too lazy to check them myself, but they're pretty impressive if true.

Alabama D-Line Season Totals

98tkl - 23.5tfl - 9.5sk - 20qbh - 5pbu - 0int - 1ff - 3bk

Florida D-Line Season Totals

112tkl - 33tfl - 14sk - 48qbh - 5pbu - 0int - 1ff - 0bk

Texas D-Line Season Totals

116tkl - 25.5tfl - 15.5sk - 10qbh - 7pbu - 0int - 2ff - 0bk

Suh Season Totals

82tkl - 23tfl - 12sk - 24qbh - 10pbu - 1int - 1ff - 3bk

I see the point you're trying to make- Suh is unreal- but (and I cannot believe I am going to do this...) putting Bama's D-line in this discussion is not exactly comparing apples to apples.

Bama's base defense is a 3-4, while the rest of those (I think) are 4-3's. Bama's D is predicated on Cody occupying blockers and linebackers making plays. That explains the subpar statistics.

Okay, I'm going to go shower now.

I'm going to Toronto for the International Bowl. New Year's Eve is going to be ridiculous.

Our I-Bowl was Jan. 5th so we didn't get to do the New Year's Eve thing. Have fun up there - Toronto is so awesome.

Fresno State had four shots in OT from the one and couldn't score. Wyoming gets the ball now.

Stupid play they ran on that 4th and goal. It took too long and gave that linebacker time to stuff the hole.

Wyoming just missed a FG that would have won the game.

The funny part was they showed the sidelines and a bunch of Wyoming fans had come on to the sideline to celebrate and they had to run back into the stands after the FG missed.

Ohio State knows how to stay in the news:

Trib[/url]"]The Columbus Dispatch reports: Ohio State seniors Ray Small and Rob Rose likely won't be with the Buckeyes when they play Oregon in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1. Sources close to the program told the Dispatch that the pair, along with sophomore running back Bo DeLande, would be ineligible because of a violation of team rules.

Small was the team's No. 1 kick and punt returner and No. 3 receiver. Rose was a reserve defensive lineman. Freshman receiver Duron Carter was declared ineligible for the Rose Bowl last week.

USC reloading

The hits just keep coming for USC .

Tight end Anthony McCoy, offensive tackle Tyron Smith and defensive tackle Averell Spicer have been ruled academically ineligible for the Emerald Bowl against Boston College on Saturday, the school announced.

McCoy and Smith are both starters and earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 honors. Spicer is a key reserve. McCoy and Spicer are both seniors, so their USC careers are over.

"We're really disappointed these guys didn't come through," USC coach Pete Carroll said in a statement. "They had all the help in the world to get it done and they didn't do it."

Do they still get to ride in the limo?

I'm sure they can do it in their own limos since their fans apparently give them free cars.

I recorded the 2006 Rose Bowl on ESPNClassic the other day and it's still amazing how good Vince Young was in that game.

Suh wins the AP Player of the Year (26 Votes), Gerhart 2nd (20 votes), Ingram and McCoy tie for 3rd (6 each).

AP voters did a nice job in getting everything right.

That's about how the Heisman voting should have gone.

Yep, I think you could flipflop Suh and Gerhart and not have much of an arguement either way. But they were 1-2.
