Yeah, pretty sad that NW doesn't have anyone else that can kick a 22 yard FG on their team. Well based on how the other kicker was doing, I don't know if they have one.

 

That's heartbreaking. I'm not a NW fan, but I probably root for them over every Big 10 team besides Michigan and maybe Illinois. I really wanted them to win their second bowl game ever. They've had some heartbreaking bowl losses in recent years. 2nd straight bowl loss in OT.

 

I cheer for all Big Ten teams in bowl games even Michigan and OSU, dont understand why fans of Big Ten teams cheer against conference rivals in bowl games. The whole ending to the Nwestern/Auburn game was just a comedy of errors. It was almost like the other team was saying, "here you win"

 

Yeah that game was simply so bad it was funny to watch. Then to see Auburn's whiffed on giving Chiznik a gaterade bath, was priceless.

What an odd penalty. I mean, I get it. But I agree with the announcers that he wasn't really trying to do anything illegal, just breaking up the pile.

Yeah I'll admit that was a dumb penalty, but I'm not complaining, seeing as how the refs screwed us over on a few calls too. That was an exciting game, though.

Big Ten goes even with the much superior SEC in bowl games again.

What a clusterf----of games between the Big 10 and the SEC. Both conferences should be embarrassed by the representatives in both games. Auburn escaping NW, and PSU outlasting Les Miles/Jordan Jefferson stupidity. Both games were excitingly awful.

Seriously? I can't think of one that "screwed" PSU. That penalty was BS, dude was trying to kill the clock. Should have been a delay of game on PSU.

The last illegal motion penalty against PSU, that was obviously an offsides against LSU? Not that it mattered in the end, but it forced us to settle on a FG.

One? Wow, what a screw job and I'm not sure it was an offsides. Games already been erased from the DVR so I can't check and don't remember what it looked like, but isn't it possible the DL just got a good jump. That penalty at the end was pure BS. Care to defend it on its merits?

As a neutral voice in this (i dont give an f about either team) I think it was very clearly an offsides. The announcers even called it right when it happened and then had to backtrack on their words later. Not that announcers are always(ever) the best reference; but it looked clear to me.

I've never done worse in bowl picks. 7-16. Seems like my worst years of bowl picks are the only years I happen to put money on it. My 2nd-highest confidence pick, WVU, lost and my fourth-highest one, Oregon, not looking so good either.

I'd say the Big Ten has had a pretty solid bowl season thus far. 2-2 with two close losses. Hopefully Ohio State can come through.

Stupid Ducks. We were so close to going an entire decade without a Big 10 team winning the Rose Bowl.
