Total BCS wins

Boise State 2

Utah 2

ACC 2

Only states to go 2-0 in bowls this year: Iowa, Idaho and Utah.

Totally dominant game by the defense. Stanzi showed how good he can be at times and then he goes through stretches where he doesn't see the field and makes bad decisions. Fake field goal call was interesting. They obviously must have seen on film that the outside man crashes hard and thought they could sneak past him.

Should end the season ranked #6 or 7. 4th time in 8 years they'll finish in the top 8. Hopefully one of Spivey/Bulaga will come back. Should be somewhere between 5-10 preseason next year.

Any chance they'll start playing a little tougher teams in their non-conference schedule?

Two BCS conference teams is more than most big time schools play. And considering one of them won their bowl and the other is (at least before the bowls) ranked, I don't see a problem with their schedule. When Teams like Florida, Alabama and Texas start scheduling a second BCS conference team for non-conference games, maybe the Hawks will add a third one.

Iowa played 5 teams that are currently ranked. Texas played 3 including Alabama, Alabama played 4 including Texas and FLA played 3 including Cincy. Who has played the tough schedule and who beats up on weak competition?

Since you mention USC, They played 4 teams that are currently ranked and 2 BCS level teams (I'd definitely give them that for playing Notre Dame) in the non-conference. Better than most but still not quite at Iowa's level.

Again, who needs to improve their schedule? Because it's not Iowa.

Voice of Reason is a complete USC homer, and Big 10 hater, just ignore everything he says.

Well this year they played Arizona who beat USC so they must be really, really awesome and a road rivalry game with a Big 12 team that won a bowl. Next year they play at Arizona. Two BCS games with one on the road is probably above average when it comes to top 25 teams. At least on par.

When you have a conference schedule that includes Washington, you don't need to up your schedule.

Ignoring him is good advice; however, I don't think anyone can fault USC's scheduling. They have no control over how good or bad the Pacific 10 is, and they consistently schedule strongly out of conference.

actually you'd be wise to do that in every forum and thread, not just this one.

That wasn't my point. The point was he was bagging on Iowa for a weak schedule, but they had a tougher schedule than USC who actually played a pretty good schedule.

Had I mentioned that Iowa went 11-2, and USC was 9-4, while playing a tougher schedule than the Trojans...well that would be bagging on USC. And I wouldn't think about doing that. ;)

Awesome MSG.

I guess I'll be pulling for Texas tonight simply out of having more disdain for Saban. What really matters is that I need the total to be 44 or less to win my bowl pool.
