Cheering for the Dodgers, but I'm gonna guess Cardinals take this in 4. Randy Wolf starting game 1? The Dodgers remind me of the Cubs last year. They have a lot of good starting pitching, but no dominant ace you can count on. The Cardinals unfortunately have 2. The Dodgers have a lot of good hitting, but with Manny not as strong as last year's Manny they don't have one hitter that you fear greatly. I guess you could argue Manny is that hitter now that I think about it, but I still don't think he strikes as much fear as he did last year.

You guys talking about Randy Wolf starting game 1 realize he has and ERA of 3.23 and a WHIP of 1.10 this year right? He also has a BAA of .227. Outside of 1 month this season Randy Wolf has been 1 of the best starting pitchers in the NL.

Eh, so was Dempster last year.

yeah it's amazing what a .256 BABIP will do for one's numbers.

power pitching is (on average) more successful in the playoffs than soft tossers, and randy wolf is most certainly not a power pitcher. if i'm having a pitcher go twice in this series i sure as hell do not want it to be randy wolf. kershaw and billingsley are both better pitchers than wolf, but alas they are not crafty veterans.

if i see manny win another ring i am going to puke

Manny is by far the lesser of two evils here and it's not close.

the Dodgers already throw themselves into a whole and then in game 3 they think Padilla has a shot at winning that game...I say that game he will get lit up. With that said Carpenter pitches a shut up for game 1 and it will lead to a sweep.

Is there any way both teams can be swept?
