Is there any way both teams can be swept?

I wish.

I don't care if who the Dodgers have on their team; how the hell can you root for the Cardinals?!?

You must not be aware the team that they are playing is the St. Louis Cardinals.

None of this makes it remotely okay to be rooting for the Cardinals.

That's still screwy.

why though!?

there comes a time when you just have to drop the hatred and realize that an organization has done a good job this decade...

recognize that they are a group of quality ball players, and root for them because they deserve to be in the position they are currently

Well, the Cubs are my dad's favorite team; that doesn't keep me from hating them at times...

So do you root for the Yankees as well?

Ok. I realize the Dodgers swept the Cubs last year. Fine. Am I the only one who really isn't angry with the Dodgers? The Cubs (not named Derrek Lee) sucked in that series. We LOST that series. It wasn't stolen from us. It was disappointing, but I don't hate them for it.

I don't hate them because of it. It's more of a jealousy/want them to feel the pain they gave us kinda thing. But not when they are playing the Cardinals.

When they're not playing us, LA is actually a kind of likable team. Solid young hitters, Russell Martin is awesome, Manny is obviously entertaining. If I had to pick one team to win the title, I think I'd want them to.

Mark DeRosa still hasn't figured out how to play defense in the playoffs.

I am, but I live in LA and their fans are douches.

Yeah, I really don't have anything against the teams that beat the Cubs in the playoffs. I guess depending on who they'd be playing I'd prefer if they lose, but playing the Cardinals? Go whoever isn't the Cardinals.

Why would I root for the eternal rival just because they have a good team? If anything that just makes me hate them even more.

I love Mark DeRosa more and more.

He's a smarter version of Aaron Miles. He waited for the offseason to screw up the Cardinals, so they could fall on their faces on the grandest stage.
