I know nobody will agree but I think it is possible Indiana could hang with Michigan for a half or so.....if IU can run the football that is. And Middleton/Kirlew need to get pressure on the QB.

 

I agree with you. Granted they haven't played Michigan caliber opponents, but the D is averaging 3 sacks and 8 TFL per game so far. The DEs are very strong, and can't be blocked all game. Running the ball is the key, as it can keep the Michigan O off the field. Hopefully the Frosh QB can make a few mistakes. IUs best chance is to control the clock and field position.

 

Forcier is pretty good at avoiding the rush and moving around and outside the pocket and he throws really good on the run. UM's ends i wouldn't call world beaters so IU should get pressure. Michigans run offense is light years better than last year as the line now gets the zone blocking, how good IU stops the run will be important. I hardly see UM go 4 or 5 wide like they did last year, lot 3WR and TE sets, Rich hardly used the TE last year and even at WVU, but he is using the TE a lot this year in various formations.

I never believed it to begin with. They are a good team, just not a Top 10 team. I kind of suspected they might lose tonight. Just a hunch. Of course the game isn't over yet.
