Bradley "never comfortable" playing at Wrigley

Well maybe you should start hitting like you are supposed to. It's a simple relationship, you hit and play hard, we cheer. You don't hit and have temper tantrums all the time, we boo. Get over it, you shouldn't have signed here if you can't deal with it. I am almost positive that 5 minutes of research and you would have found out this exact same thing.

Milton Bradley said after Tuesday's loss he's "never" comfortable playing at Wrigley Field.

"It's hard to be comfortable when you don't get a hit and get booed every time," he said. "When I go home and look in the mirror, I like what I see. My family is there I have people I can talk to who are very supportive, in spite of everything and all the adversity and the hatred you face on a daily basis. But I'll be alright. I always have."

Oh and...if you want to be liked, don't constantly bitch about the fans that come to see you play. It's not a good way to be liked. Just deal with it and shut up.

If the rumors about the Cubs planning to trade him in the offseason are true, I'll be pretty pleased. It's at the point where it's pretty clear he deserves every bit of that negative reputation he brought with him.

At this point I think if the Cubs can get a good offer for Bradley, and I think they will/could make that trade. Outside of Bay/Holliday there is not a better and younger option then Bradley. Exclude Bay and Holliday and the best OF options are in their mid to late 30s that includes Abreu, Guerrero, Cameron. If you can replace Bradley with somebody like Bay or Holliday I would be pleasantly surprised. I'm not holding my breathe, tho.

What's wrong with what he's saying though? He's right. He could go 3-4 and on that one out he'll get booed. He's been prone to that since he started off slow and even though he's stepped his game up quite a bit over the past few months, he'll still get booed. Milton Bradley is not the reason this team is 9 games out in a division they should easily be winning.

I really don't understand the Bradley-hatred at Wrigley. He's OPSing near .900 at home, so what's there to boo about? Besides, it's always dumb to boo at someone that gets on base at a .400 rate.

I like Bradley. he's the perfect number two hitter on the team right now. They just need to get off his back and he needs to stop bringing it up. Start fresh next year and it'll all be over.

Uhhhh.....what would be the return on Bradley?

Well for one, he gets booed at almost every place he plays. Cub fans aren't the only fans growing tired of his act.

I think a lot of fans see Milton Bradley as the face of the deconstruction of the 2008 team and automatically blame him, despite the fact that theres a whole list of guys who are more at fault for the failure of this team. Its almost as though the fans are actually booing Jim Hendry when they boo Milton, but since Hendrys not on the field, its as close as they can come. Milton was seen as that final piece to the puzzle when he was signed, and unfortunately, they gave up a more important piece to be able to get him. Im curious to see what type of reception Hendry gets at the Cubs convention this winter.

I still like Milton, despite being pretty dissapointed in his power numbers.

I thought this was funny too:

"That was a Rodney King beat down tonight," said Cubs right fielder Milton Bradley, never one to shy from the politically incorrect.

When asked if the Cubs' situation was demoralizing, Bradley responded: "I don't have a politically correct answer for that, so I can't answer it."

Mostly, its a lie. He hasn't been seriously booed since the All Star break. He get stray catcalls and maybe 5% of the park boos when he strikes out, but otherwise, he's just making excuses. He certainly doesn't get booed as much as Soriano. Or Fontenot. Or Gregg. Or Dempster even.

Do well, the fans will cheer. Play poorly, the fans will boo. He played poorly for the first three months of this season and got booed. He's now playing adequately and is barely getting booed. If he had done what he is doing now all season, he wouldn't be getting booed. Simple as that.

That about sums it up.

The people that boo Bradley are morons. I don't really understand all the Bradley hate because there's far worse problems on this team than Milton Bradley.

We don't like him because: a) he's played like [expletive], and b) he's an [expletive].

It's not that complicated.

What he said. Quit being a prima donna, earn your paycheck, and [expletive] HUSTLE. A 3-step process to becoming loved by Cub fans.

Bradley hustles more than probably every other guy on the team. If you can't see that, you're not paying attention.

I've never seen anybody be so happy to get a walk as Bradley.

I agree with Bradley....it's probably much easier to play in front of 1/3 full stadiums where the 10,000 fans who showed up that night are too busy rooting for the hot dog race on the JumboTron to notice whether you struck out or not

That he's happy when he gets on base and shows it, therefore shows that he cares. One of the problems people have with Bradley is that he looks like he doesn't care. I'm saying this isn't true.

I [expletive] love Milton Bradley.

People have let the actual [expletive] like Paul Sullivan and his band of jolly ugly cohorts determine how they feel about the guy that Cub fans should adore.

You don't need Sullivan around to realize Milton is a jackass cry baby.

I think he's a passionate person who wears his heart on his sleeve.
